Oakley, affectionately known as 'Dottie girl ' by her foster family, has such a sweet, lovable, big personality and is very eager to please! This Pit/Mountain Curr mix is a total Phoenix that has risen from the fires of neglect, abandonment and even successfully raised her litter of puppies in the woods for the first 10 weeks of life. They were all successfully adopted in the Fall and living wonderful lives of love and commitment from their families. Oakley is the perfect girl that lives with anyone and everyone that comes her way. She embraces all people and dogs and she just lives her life with resilience and tolerance. This girl might not be a Golden Retriever in looks but she surpasses any of the commonly accepted breeds that everyone gravitates to and wants to adopt. Take her Pit mix package look away and please consider only her SOUL? Trust us, you will not want to look elsewhere for the most perfect and beautiful temperamented dog. Oakley sits on command and walks nicely on a leash. When she meets new people, she is so very social and she embraces all other dogs, adults and children alike. This girl loves to play dress up in cozy sweaters and loves a good chew toy. HOW FUN!???? RIGHT? If you have children she is right there to engage and play with them and their fantasies. This Momma dog is just a young 2yr old, 40lb sweetheart who longs to be an inside dog that can cuddle up next to you on the couch and help you melt the life challenges away. Oakley had outsmarted many rescuers for months running around the county with her litter of puppies being. When she gave in we realized what a remarkable Mom she was and the beauty of her puppies. All of her puppies have been adopted, but now Oakley is raising her heart and hand to say…. Pick Me Too! Meet Payton! 🐾 Payton is a 4-month-old, 25-lb Mountain Cur–Pit Bull mix—and when we say puppy, we truly mean it. She is full of nonstop energy, curiosity, and joy, and she approaches life with her whole heart (and all four paws). This girl loves to play—with toys, with dogs, with pretty much anything that will engage her. She’s still learning appropriate boundaries with other dogs, so she would do best with a confident canine companion who is comfortable giving gentle corrections while she figures things out. She sleeps well in her crate at night and is continuing to learn how to be content in it during the day as crate training progresses. Born around February, 2023, this strikingly handsome Catahoula mix boy has grown up in a shelter, watching the world move past him while he stays behind in a kennel run. Maybe it's because he isn't in a big city where people frequent the local shelter looking a dog to love. Marley is in a very rural ,out of the way shelter that few people come to. Marley is the kind of dog who lights up when someone notices him. He is friendly, social, and genuinely happy just to be included. He gets along well with other dogs and older children, and his favorite thing in the world is simply being part of the moment — whether that means splashing in water, running around outside, or settling in as your loyal couch companion. Time has softened Marley in the best ways. While he still has a playful spirit, he’s matured into a wonderfully balanced dog who knows how to enjoy both adventure and quiet companionship. I got Tokyo in January of this year from the local shelter and she has been the most amazing addition to our family. She is a ball full of energy who loves to play and run around but also loves to snuggle at night. She is fully house trained but loves going outside or playing at the park with her friends. She has a goofy personality, loves people and other dogs. It breaks my heart to have to find her another home, but unfortunately due to the military I have to move and can’t take her with me but the last thing I want to do is have to bring her back to the shelter. I’m looking for a forever home for her with someone who can give her the love and attention that she deserves!
