Cash is looking for a special adopter. His ideal home is a low traffic household in a quiet neighborhood. We don’t know much about his past other than he was found wandering around Circleville when he was under a year old. He then came to Rico and was adopted. However, due to no fault of his or his adopters, he was returned because his adopters home wasn’t the right fit - it happens! Cash isn’t the dog who will run up to strangers for pets and kisses, he is going to bark and then he is going to bark some more and he’s going to be scared. He needs the right environment to thrive and we want to find that for him!Once he trusts you he is a GREAT dog.He walks well on a leash; 🦮he is completely house broken; 🏡he loves his crate; ☑️he isn’t destructive; 👟he knows how to sit, shake, beg and spin;💡Gets along with other dogs 🐶Likes to cuddle and be with his people 👩‍❤️‍👨Likes to sunbathe ☀️He can tell time - at 8pm on the dot he knows it’s time for a greenie! ⏰For the right adopter and the right home, Cash will be an excellent companion. He’s now 3 years old, around 40lbs, and is ready for his forever home! Best guess on breed is mountain cur. We think another dog in the home would be best for cash, but is not absolutely necessary.Apply to meet Cash, but know, he’ll probably bark 📣Adoption fee is $250

Meet Cheez-it!! She came in as a stray on 4/30/26. We think she is about 3 years old. She had some injuries to her neck when she came in, but she is getting all healed up. She is super sweet and very friendly. She is a happy girl who will brighten up your day. She is available for adoption so hurry in to meet her! Cheez-it is located at the Richland County Dog Shelter in Mansfield, OH Phone is 419-774-5892 It is an application process. You can request one via dogs@richlandcountyoh.gov

Pepper came from a very difficult situation, was found as a young pup and was in a situation where she didn't get the attention she so deserved. She has blossomed into a terrific pup. She is very smart and enjoys tracking animals. Her breed drives her to bark and be heard and howl, but she is not obnoxious. She loves to play outdoors, but will come in to eat and sleep and interact with the family. She protects her sister as she was also found all alone as well. She wears a collar and will allow you to put a leash on, but still training on going for a walk. She loves balls, she will run and fetch so now her foster is working on her returning the balls!! She’s a very good size, very healthy and a lot of fun. Still shy at times and unsure of strangers and kids but with patience, she will be your forever friend! Located in North Texas. Poppy has come so far with her socialization. She is no longer shy and scared. She is a willing participant in everything and with everyone in the family. Her energy has mellowed and she is a smart, active and loving dog. She is a big lap dog, her favorite thing to do is snuggle. She gets along with all dogs and her best friend is a cat. She is very clever, and tracks and hunts, but she is very afraid of loud noises and loud engines. Hunting is probably not the job for her. Located in North Texas, Transport availble and fee included

Story

We found Cele (pronouced Celly) wandering in our neighborhood at the end of February this year (2026). He seemed scared but let me approach him. He had no collar and we discovered he was not chipped and he was not neutered. Vet told us he was 7-8 months at the time, so that would make him a little over a year old now. He looks and has the build of a Plott Hound. Potentially another breed, but unsure. He has been good around people and no issues with other dogs thus far, but gets very excited, impulsive and does not know how to behave when around other dogs. However, he has been living with 2 small Dachshunds since we found him with no issue. He has a lot of energy, very fast, strong and when excited he seems to have tunnel vision and not listen to commands. He is very loving and loves attention. He knows sit well, but has struggled with getting other commands to stick. As much as I would love to keep this sweet boy, our schedules and yard are not condusive for him to thrive.
