When he first arrived, he was understandably frightened — but with the help of a calm, confident dog friend, he’s come beautifully out of his shell. What we’re seeing now is a gentle, thoughtful, and very kind puppy. We believe he may be a Mountain Cur / Catahoula mix — a combination known for intelligence, loyalty, and strong bonds with their people. These are dogs bred to be partners: steady, observant, and deeply connected to those they trust. Despite his unsure start, this little guy has shown a truly lovely temperament. He is exceptionally gentle, especially with two younger puppies he’s currently staying with. He reads other dogs well, adjusts his energy, and shows a natural kindness that you don’t see in every puppy. He’s not a loud or pushy pup — he’s more of a quiet observer, the kind who watches first, then leans in once he feels safe. He can be a little shy at first, but once he warms up, his happy personality really shines! The stress of being at the shelter made her deliver still born puppies. After grieving the loss, she has now blossomed into a happy, healthy girl who cannot wait to find her forever home. She is great with dogs of all sizes and loves going on group walks with the rest of the gang. She is also great with cats. She will be your best friend. Will you be hers? She is currently still in Oklahoma where she was rescued but she can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. She has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take her in or she will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found.
