Story
Meet Django! 🐾 Django is a young Mountain Cur mix who’s just starting to discover the world around him. Like most puppies, he’s bursting with energy, curiosity, and a playful spirit. He’ll need a patient and loving adopter to help guide him through his puppy phase as he learns important skills like potty training and basic commands. The mountain cur is an intelligent, hardworking, and loyal dog breed, making it a dependable addition to many families. These dogs love the great outdoors and are ideal for pet parents who like to explore nature and stay active. However, their need for physical exercise means they aren't for everyone. If you’re ready for the fun (and challenge!) of raising a puppy, Django is ready to be by your side. The shelter is open Tuesday through Friday from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM, and on Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A meet-and-greet is required for all shelter dogs if you already have a dog. Thank you for considering the adoption of a shelter animal in need!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Churro  Australian Shepherd / Mountain Cur Mix | ~9 weeks old This handsome little guy is a happy, confident, and people-loving puppy with a sweet, easygoing nature. He’s playful and curious like any healthy pup, but he’s not over-the-top or chaotic — he has a really nice balance for his age. He adapts well to new situations, enjoys being around people, and does beautifully with other dogs. He’s being raised in a social environment and is learning excellent dog manners early on. After playtime, he’s content to settle in and relax — a wonderful trait that often carries into adulthood. We believe he is an Australian Shepherd / Mountain Cur mix, a pairing known for intelligence, loyalty, and strong bonds with their people. He’s the kind of puppy who wants to be part of whatever you’re doing and will grow into a devoted, steady companion. This boy would be a great fit for someone looking for a smart, affectionate pup who enjoys interaction but also knows how to relax. If he’s caught your eye, we’d love to hear about your home and lifestyle. Thank you for checking out our wonderful orphans. Meet Dobby!! 🐾 He came in as a stray on 12/30/25, and we think he is about a year old. Dobby is a super sweet and very handsome guy with a gentle soul. He can be a little shy at first, but once he warms up, his happy personality really shines! Dobby loves to run and play with you, and while toys are still a bit of a mystery to him, we’re pretty sure he’ll catch on quickly. He is a truly nice dog who just wants someone to give him a chance. You are going to love this boy! 💙 Dobby is available for adoption, so hurry in to meet him and see just how special he is! 📍 Richland County Dog Shelter Mansfield, OH 📞 419-774-5892 📝 This is an application process.
