Story
Meet Hank, a 3-year-old, 52-pound Mountain Cur Terrier mix ready to find his happily ever after. For the first three years of his life, Hank lived on a chain with barely any food or water. His only shelter was a broken-down shed where he spent his days in complete darkness until he was finally surrendered. Despite everything he's endured, Hank is a sweet, gentle, dog-friendly sweetheart with a loving heart. All he wants is a safe family to show him what it means to be loved, spoiled, and truly home. Hank comes to us from a shelter in West Virginia. He is fully vetted and is here at The Hotel. Breeds are best guess. If you would like to meet/adopt this pup, please complete an application on our website: www.HotelforHomelessDogs.com Adoption Fee: $625.00

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. To apply to adopt this dog now, complete our adoption application   HERE To see our upcoming events where you can meet some of our dogs, please see   HERE Age: 3 Years (as of 6/6/26) Weight: 50 Lbs.(7/23/26) Location: RI This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped. Sweet Sue is a well-behaved, loving, go-with-the flow kinda gal! Sue is politely playful with the large and small breed dogs she is currently living with, and also co-existing nicely with the resident cats.  She has been friendly and gentle with all children she has met so far, as well as all adults. She can be a little hesitant when meeting new people and in new situations at first but warms up very quickly and then wants all the pets and love.  She does well in a crate and is comfortable being left alone for 3-4 hours at a time. Sue also enjoys a car ride, and is working on her leash skills.  Sue is described as gentle, affectionate, playful, and quiet.  She likes to play with toys, and also likes to cuddle up for some laptime. Sue is fairly quiet and she rarely barks. She keeps her crate clean and has not had any accidents inside in weeks.  She is a smart, gentle, versatile girl who will do well in many different lifestyles ranging from quiet to moderately social. Sue's background: This sweet mama was found in the country with her pup, Della.  To us, it seems that she lived in a home before as she has good house "manners". Sue is now ready for her turn at her furever home and her own forever family.  Medical Note:  This dog has tested positive for exposure to ehrlichia.  This does not mean that this dog had/has an active infection of ehrlichiosis, only that the dog was exposed or infected in the past.
