Panda Forsyth is currently in RI and looking for a 'furever' home!   Meet Panda! If you’re looking for a pup with personality, Panda is ready to bring the fun! This adorable girl is equal parts playful, curious, and full of spunk. Whether she’s chasing bugs, helping her canine friends “landscape” the garden, or zooming around the yard at top speed, Panda approaches life with enthusiasm and joy. Panda is estimated to be about 90% deaf, but don’t tell her that, she doesn’t let it slow her down one bit! She’s smart, food-motivated, and eager to learn. Because of her hearing loss, she’ll thrive with a family committed to using visual cues, hand signals, and positive reinforcement to help her continue building confidence and skills. In her foster home, Panda has done well with the resident dogs after taking a little time to get acquainted. She’s playful, energetic, and always up for an adventure. Like many puppies, she’s still learning her manners and can get a little mouthy when she’s excited, but she’s responding well to structure and guidance. Panda enjoys toys, treats, and exploring the world around her. She’s already sleeping nicely in her crate, settling down after a few minutes of puppy protest. With her sweet face, expressive ears, and zest for life, Panda has a way of winning hearts wherever she goes. If you’re looking for a fun-loving companion who will keep you smiling and remind you to enjoy the little things, Panda might just be your girl. If you are interested in adopting this dog please complete the adoption application at www.rhodehomerescue.org/adoption-form to become a pre-approved adopter.   If you were already approved through Rhode Home Rescue within the last 6 months, contact us today! Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: YesGood with cats: Yes, dog savvy catsGood with kids: Unknown, likely yesCrate trained: YesHouse Trained: Yes Louie is the total package—loving, loyal, and just the right amount of goofy. He’s the kind of dog who will keep you smiling all day and then curl up as close as possible at night (because in his mind, he’s absolutely a lap dog). Louie is always up for some playtime or zoomies, but he’s just as happy settling down for snuggles once he’s gotten it out of his system. His favorite place, without question, is right beside (or on top of) his people. With his affectionate nature and playful spirit, Louie brings a wonderful balance of fun and companionship to any home.Louie is a social butterfly who truly believes everyone is his friend. He greets other dogs without issue and enjoys spending time playing with his canine buddies, making him a great fit for a home with another dog or regular playmates. He has lived with cats for six months and mostly ignores them, though he may occasionally try to initiate play—he responds well to redirection when needed. While he hasn’t been fostered with children, his friendly and easygoing personality suggests he would likely do well with dog-savvy kids who can match his playful but affectionate nature.Louie is crate trained and can comfortably spend a few hours a day in his crate. He is fully housebroken and will stand by the door—or give a little bark—to let you know when he needs to go out. He walks well on leash and enjoys a routine that includes playtime, relaxation, and, of course, plenty of cuddles. Louie thrives with structure but also loves his freedom to lounge on the furniture and be part of the family. If you’re searching for a dog who can keep up with some fun but also melt into you at the end of the day, Louie is your lad! Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at www.lasthopek9.org. Story
Meet Jelly Bean! This precious girl and her sister, Buttons (also up for adoption!) are siblings whose story began with being abandoned in a parking lot in Tennessee. Thankfully, they are now safe in a loving foster home where they're getting the care, guidance, and affection every puppy deserves while they prepare for their forever families. They will be ready to travel the beginning of August.Like any young pups, both are full of curiosity, playfulness, and joyful enthusiasm. They love exploring the world around them, playing with toys, making new friends, and soaking up all the attention they can get. Every day is an adventure, and every experience is an opportunity to learn.Their foster family is helping them build a strong foundation by working on puppy basics each day, but they are still very much babies. Their future families should be ready to continue their training, socialization, and house manners with patience, consistency, and lots of positive reinforcement. Raising a puppy takes time and commitment, but it is also one of life's most rewarding experiences.Jelly Bean and Buttons are looking for loving homes where they will be cherished as members of the family. They need people who are excited to be their teachers, adventure buddies, and lifelong best friends. In return, they'll offer endless laughter, unconditional love, and the special bond that only a puppy can bring.Name: Jelly BeanBreed: Lab/Mountain Cur   (Breed Mix is not guarantee - no DNA testing has been done)Sex: FemaleAge: 8 weeksWeight: 7.0Spayed/Neutered: Too young - Spay/Neuter Contract will be required and strictly enforced.Vaccinations: Puppy vaccines will be up to date. We can provide adopters with a list of low-cost SN clinics when requested. The adoption fee also includes the transport fee when applicableATTENTION PUPPY ADOPTERS:  You must attend training/behavior classes with your new dog unless you are an experienced dog owner and your adoption coordinator is comfortable with your experience.  This requirement is for your benefit and your puppy's, so if you experience behavioral issues, you have a point of contact.  PLEASE—Think long and hard before adopting a puppy. Consider the lifestyle change this puppy will come with. He cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours until he's older. Puppy-proofing your home will be necessary. Puppies scratch and nip, so if you have small children, can they handle this? Training will be so crucial in this puppy's life.
