Kaia Hello, My name is Kaia. I'm approximately 2 years old, (not sure because I was dumped with my sister in the woods!) We were saved by some wonderful people and with the help from "For Pete Sake" we both found a home. The reason I'm writing is, my current parents are moving to a home that can't have pets, (both in their late 60's.) I'm mountain cur and coon hound. I weigh about 50 lbs. medium size. I love to run and I'm fast! I would like a family with maybe a small dog and a yard to play. I love to be hugged and loved and will do the same for you!(I 'm Quite cute as well!) I like cookies(blue buffalo are my favorites!) Please be serious because I've been through a lot and need to feel safe and loved. I'm in good health and have all my shots. I come with cookies, food, bed, crate (yes I'm cate trained) and toys! I'm not free (because I'm special), Please be serious, this is really important to me! Despite his rough start in life, Charlie stands strong as a loving, loyal, and happy fellow. Abandoned and left to die, Charlie was found wandering on his own and only weighing 26 lbs. He now weighs 45 lbs, has all his shots, is microchipped, house-trained, and is neutered. His DNA results indicate he is 17+ months old, and his breed is Mountain Cur 33.8%, Treeing Walker Coonhound 26%, Rat Terrier 21.6%, and Supermut 18.6%. Charlie is a smart and obedient dog, but as a hunting breed, he needs at least a couple of hours of running and play each day. He has strong instincts to chase small animals, like squirrels, when he is outside. He could be a good hunting dog or maybe some obedience training, so that he wouldn't need a leash. It is with a heavy heart that I am rehoming him, but I am too old to keep up with the activity he truly needs.PS: I can sit in my chair, and he will put his front legs on mine and then lay his head on my chest.
