Story
Marlor is a tall, brindle dream with a heart just as big as his legs. This handsome Great Dane and Plott Hound mix is around 2 years old and still growing into both his body and his confidence. He’s currently learning the ropes of leash walking and picking it up quickly—proof that this lanky boy is as smart as he is sweet. Volunteers can’t get enough of him, and it’s easy to see why. Marlor is a total lovebug who happily hands out kisses and soaks up every bit of attention he can get.Right now, he’s about 50 pounds and could stand to gain a little more weight, but he’s well on his way to becoming a strong, healthy companion. Watching him learn, trust, and blossom has been such a joy for everyone here.If you’ve been searching for a tall drink of water with a gentle soul and a goofy, loving personality, Marlor might just be your perfect match.

Story
Dix is what we like to call a “plot twist dog.” At first glance, he looks sleek and black—but step into the sunshine and suddenly he’s showing off rich chocolatey brown tones like he’s been keeping a secret just for dramatic effect. Add in that crisp white chest, and you’ve got a dog who knows how to dress for the occasion without even trying. As the slightly bigger (and possibly slightly more “enthusiastic”) brother of Marlor, Dix has decided that life is meant to be experienced at full volume. Hiking? He’s in. Couch time? Also in. Impromptu dance party in the living room? He doesn’t know what that is, but he’s already excited about it.Dix is the kind of dog who doesn’t just join your plans—he upgrades them. Whatever you’re doing, he’s doing it with 110% commitment and probably a wagging tail that could power a small fan.If you’re looking for a best friend who brings equal parts adventure, goofiness, and heart, Dix is ready to clock in.

Story
Meet Moose! Our longest resident has been patiently waiting for a family to see what we already know. Everything about Moose is big. His size, his bark, his personality, and most importantly, his heart. Like many dogs, Moose takes a little time to adjust to new people and new environments, but once he settles in, his goofy, affectionate personality shines through. The patience you give him is paid back tenfold with loyalty and love. Moose is house trained, knows his basic commands, loves learning new things, and lives for playtime. His favorite way to burn off energy is wrestling and roughhousing with other dogs that enjoy the same rowdy play style. Moose is looking for a patient adopter who understands that good things take time. He would do best in a home without cats, small companion animals, or livestock, where he can settle in at his own pace and become the incredible companion we know he is.
