Archie loves treats and is eager to please, making training a fun way to keep his smart and curious mind busy.Archie knows his basic commands, is house-trained and crate-trained, and thrives with consistent training, attention, and companionship. Because of his high energy, Archie would do best in an active home with older children, plenty of space to run and play, and ideally a large yard.He is looking for a family who will keep him busy, continue his training, and enjoy lots of adventures together. With the right active family, Archie is sure to be a loving, loyal, and fun-loving companion!

Story

Despite his rough start in life, Charlie stands strong as a loving, loyal, and happy fellow. Abandoned and left to die, Charlie was found wandering on his own and only weighing 26 lbs. He now weighs 45 lbs, has all his shots, is microchipped, house-trained, and is neutered. His DNA results indicate he is 17+ months old, and his breed is Mountain Cur 33.8%, Treeing Walker Coonhound 26%, Rat Terrier 21.6%, and Supermut 18.6%. Charlie is a smart and obedient dog, but as a hunting breed, he needs at least a couple of hours of running and play each day. He has strong instincts to chase small animals, like squirrels, when he is outside. He could be a good hunting dog or maybe some obedience training, so that he wouldn't need a leash. It is with a heavy heart that I am rehoming him, but I am too old to keep up with the activity he truly needs.PS: I can sit in my chair, and he will put his front legs on mine and then lay his head on my chest.
