Story
Meet Ivar — Your Chunky Fetch Champion 🐾 Ivar is a lovable Plott Hound–Shepherd mix with a solid build, a bigger heart, and the sweetest soul you’ll ever meet. This handsome, extra-chunky guy is a total sweetheart who lives for attention and affection. If you’re petting him, you’re doing it right—and if you stop, he’ll politely (or not so politely) ask you to continue. Ivar is a fetch master who takes his job very seriously. Toss the ball and watch him light up with joy—he’s always ready for another round. When playtime is over, he’s perfectly happy soaking up love, leaning into pets, and accepting snacks (his favorite love language). With his gentle nature, happy grin, and snack-motivated charm, Ivar is the kind of dog who makes every day better just by being there. He’s ready to be your loyal best friend, your backyard play buddy, and your professional treat taster. Adopt Ivar and bring home a chunky, fetch-loving sweetheart who will adore you endlessly. 💛🐶

Story
We got her from a neighbor when she was about 8 weeks old. We have had her for her entire life. She’s 7. She’s great with kids of all ages and other pets. Our new landlord will not make any exceptions for her so we can’t take her with us. We just want her to go to a good home where she’s well taken care of like she has been.

Story
Kimber is about seven years old. We have had her since a puppy. She listens well and will walk with a leash. The issue I’m having is lack of time to let her run and play. She has plenty of energy but will calm down when let out. Has to be kenneled because she can climb nearly any fence she is put in. She would be good on a farm I believe or open land.

Story
Wrangler is being fostered in PA. Wrangler has some limited vision. Haroo, my foster Mommy said I had to give an update on me. I am now 11 months old! She has been helping me deal with something called Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency. Man, thems big words. I will just call it what foster Mommy says, EPI. It means that that pancre-something thing inside me doesn’t give me enzymes so I can digest proteins. So foster Mommy puts enzymes in my food to help me with that. Also, Mr Vet Dr said because of this EPI thing, my B12 level in my blood is low, so foster Mommy gives me a shot every other week of B12. I am a good boy for those and don’t even feel them, as long as I hold still. Other than that, I am still learning various commands. I tell foster Mommy when I need to go out. I sleep all night with foster Mommy. I love playing with other dogs and cuddling with humans. I can sometimes get scared when I don’t know someone, but will warm up to them especially if they have treats. I am okay with older children. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Story
Volt is being fostered in NC. Volt has some vision. update Volt is doing well! He lives for cuddles at night before going to bed in his crate. During the day he has one speed and that is lightning fast. His favorite treat is carrots and he will do anything for them but lay down, lol. He has a pretty good recall and knows sit. He is fully potty trained and goes to the back door when he needs to go out. He plays so gently with his foster mom's mini aussies and rough and tumble with Elektra (corso) and Trigger (lab). Volt had some grand mal seizures that were caused by Simparica Trio. These lasted about 3 weeks with lingering focal seizures. He is still on keppra and he's doing great! He has not had any seizures in the last 3 months. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately

Story
Meet Bourbon – The Sweetest Little Pup Ready to Find Her Forever Family! Bourbon is a 3-month-old Catahoula Leopard Dog and Labrador Retriever mix who is as gentle and loving as they come. Weighing in at just 13 pounds, this sweet girl has a calm, docile personality that makes her an absolute joy to have around. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and loves spending time with her foster’s two pups. Bourbon did great in her crate from the very first night and already uses her puppy pads like a pro. She’s quiet most of the time, only barking when she wants a little attention, and she absolutely adores her crate and toys. Bourbon is affectionate but still a little shy as she continues to come out of her shell. She loves her naps, sleeps soundly through the night, and hasn’t shown any signs of shedding so far. Bath time isn’t her favorite yet, but she’s learning! Potty training is going amazingly well — only one accident so far — and she’s even started sitting for treats just by watching the older dogs. She enjoys running and playing in the backyard and will make a wonderful companion for a family looking for a sweet, easygoing puppy. Details: Breed: Catahoula Leopard Dog & Labrador Retriever Mix Age: 3 months Weight: 13 lbs Gender: Female Good with: Dogs and children Almost completely housetrained Crate trained Adoption fee: $300 Bourbon is ready to bring love, joy, and puppy snuggles to her forever home.
