Story
PLEASE HELP US HELP HIM. We got Leo through an adoption event in August of 2025. He was skiddish as most new puppies are at first in new homes and around new (to them) dogs. Everything was going well until about 2 months ago when he started displaying "Alpha Dog" tendencies with our older dog. We have spent these months trying many alternatives to get all dogs to feel at home and happy. However, it has only escalated and we do not wish any animals any discomfort or to get hurt. Leo is high energy, loves cuddles, runs laps in the yard, whenever he can, is a chewer (so appropriate bones or aggressive chew toys are recommended), and will most likely be ideal for a single pet household based on what we have seen.. We want him to go to a good home that will give him all the love he deserves.

Story
Meet Olive! Formerly known as Socks at Harris County Pets, but when these babies join us we love giving them a fresh start with a brand new name. Olive is estimated to be around 2 years old and honestly looks like the cutest little mix of everything! She's about 50lbs. If you’re looking for a calm, easygoing, loving companion… Olive is your girl. This sweet girl has the gentlest soul and truly just wants to be close to her people. She was found as a stray, so we may never know her full story, but one thing is obvious… Olive knows love. She isn’t skinny, her coat is beautiful, and she melts right into you when getting attention. Olive is dog friendly, though she seems more like the “hang out and relax” type than the life of the party. She may still just be learning that she’s finally safe. Either way, this sweet girl is ready for a soft place to land and someone to love her forever. If you’ve been searching for a mellow, affectionate, sweetheart of a dog, Olive is waiting for you! Story
Stella is a wonderful dog, she is super sweet, loves cuddles, extremely friendly, and LOVES being pet. However with extremely busy parents we can’t be home 24/7 and Stella has some anxiety. A person who is mostly home would be the best for her. Possibly someone who no longer works or a stay at home parent. She has anxiety and has caused some property damage when we aren’t home.

Story
MEET "FINLEY" TEXAS, HOUSTON LOCATION: HOUSTON, TEXAS EMAIL: BigPawsK9FosterHouse@gmail.com AVAILABLE FOR: FOSTER TO ADOPT/ADOPTION NAME: "FINLEY" DOB: 12/5/24 BREED: ANATOLIAN SHEPHERD CATAHOULA MIX GENDER: FEMALE SIZE: LARGE HEALTH: GOOD NOTES: Finley is a stunning blend of gentleness and intelligence, with a calm confidence that draws you in. At 1.5 years old, this Anatolian Shepherd/Catahoula mix already shows the wisdom and poise of a natural-born leader—but don’t worry, she’s just as loving and clever as she is independent. Finley is wonderful with kids and other dogs, and she’s already demonstrating great manners: she keeps her kennel room clean and potties outside using a doggy door like a pro. As with many Anatolians, Finley has a strong sense of self and prefers a life with structure and respectful leadership. She will thrive with a kind but confident handler who understands the breed’s instincts and values her thoughtful, steady nature. If you're looking for a loyal companion with both heart and brains—someone who will walk beside you, not behind—Finley might just be your perfect match. Finley and her siblings came into this world under heartbreaking circumstances. Their momma, an Anatolian Shepherd, was tragically hit and killed by a car while roaming the streets when the puppies were just 3 weeks old. A kind-hearted Good Samaritan stepped in and reached out for help, and now these resilient pups are thriving together and living their best lives. ------------------------------------------------ Ground transport assistance may be available within 1K miles depending on where you live and the availability of volunteer drivers along the route.
