This sweet boy was found abandoned at a dog park in The Woodlands. After having him scanned for a microchip, I was able to contact the registered owner, who stated that she no longer wanted him. Based on conversations with the owner, it appears he may not have received the time, attention, and stability a young dog needs. Since then, I’ve been keeping him safe while searching for his forever home He is about 10 months old, neutered, and about 30 pounds. He may be a Mountain Cur mix, although that’s just our best guess. He is incredibly affectionate, friendly, and loves being around people. He’s also a smart pup who already knows commands like sit and shake, comes when called, and is housebroken. He can get a little playful and mouthy when excited, but he is eager to please and responds well to guidance. Sweet, affectionate, playful, smart, resilient, and loving are just a few words that describe him. He’s been through a lot in his short life and deserves a fam who will love him forever

We got Leo through an adoption event in August of 2025. He was skiddish as most new puppies are at first in new homes and around new (to them) dogs. Everything was going well until about April 2026 when he started getting rougher with our older dog. We have spent these months trying many alternatives to get all dogs to feel at home and happy. However, it has only escalated and we do not wish any animals any discomfort or to get hurt. Leo is high energy, loves cuddles, runs laps in the yard, whenever he can, is a chewer (so appropriate bones or aggressive chew toys are recommended), and will most likely be ideal for a single pet household based on what we have seen. We want him to go to a good home that will give him all the love he deserves.

Snoopy was starving - and somehow, he was still trying to protect someone else. When we found Snoopy at the shelter, he was painfully thin. Skin and bones. Scared. A dog who clearly had every reason to worry about himself. But Snoopy wasn’t focused on himself. He stood beside his kennel mate, quietly watching over them, as though his job was to make sure they were okay. That told us everything about his heart. And now that Snoopy knows he is safe, we are finally getting to see the dog underneath all that fear. He is pure love. Sweet as sugar. Affectionate. Playful. Happy. He loves every dog he meets and lights up when he gets the chance to play. The scared, painfully thin dog we met at the shelter is beginning to understand that people can be kind, food will keep coming, and he doesn’t have to be afraid anymore. Snoopy is only about 2 years old, a beautiful black-and-white pointer mix who should eventually weigh around 40–50 pounds. He has already survived the hardest part. Now he needs someone to give him the life he was supposed to have all along. A home. A soft bed. Another dog to play with. Someone to love him ridiculously. Sadly, they can no longer care for us, so we’re looking for a new forever home— together, if possible. We’re friendly, smart, highly trainable and great with people and other dogs. We’ve lived outdoors with an electric fence and are used to being brought in at night. We do have strong hunting instincts, so a home without small animals is best. We are also great running dogs and will stay right by your side, either on or off leash. I’m Brown Dog (the smaller boss) and I take a daily glucosamine supplement after recovering from Rocky Mountain spotted fever as a pup.
