Story
Meet Olive! Formerly known as Socks at Harris County Pets, but when these babies join us we love giving them a fresh start with a brand new name. Olive is estimated to be around 2 years old and honestly looks like the cutest little mix of everything! She's about 50lbs. If you’re looking for a calm, easygoing, loving companion… Olive is your girl. This sweet girl has the gentlest soul and truly just wants to be close to her people. She was found as a stray, so we may never know her full story, but one thing is obvious… Olive knows love. She isn’t skinny, her coat is beautiful, and she melts right into you when getting attention. Olive is dog friendly, though she seems more like the “hang out and relax” type than the life of the party. She may still just be learning that she’s finally safe. Either way, this sweet girl is ready for a soft place to land and someone to love her forever. If you’ve been searching for a mellow, affectionate, sweetheart of a dog, Olive is waiting for you! Story
We got Leo through an adoption event in August of 2025. He was skiddish as most new puppies are at first in new homes and around new (to them) dogs. Everything was going well until about April 2026 when he started getting rougher with our older dog. We have spent these months trying many alternatives to get all dogs to feel at home and happy. However, it has only escalated and we do not wish any animals any discomfort or to get hurt. Leo is high energy, loves cuddles, runs laps in the yard, whenever he can, is a chewer (so appropriate bones or aggressive chew toys are recommended), and will most likely be ideal for a single pet household based on what we have seen. We want him to go to a good home that will give him all the love he deserves.

Story
Meet Snoopy Snoopy’s story is one we will never forget. When we found him at the shelter, he was heartbreakingly thin — little more than skin and bones — and clearly had not been shown much kindness in his life. Yet even in the middle of his own fear and uncertainty, Snoopy stood protectively by his kennel mate, quietly trying to keep them both safe. That told us everything we needed to know about his heart. This striking black-and-white pointer mix is expected to be around 40–50 pounds once he regains weight and finally gets the care he deserves. He's about 2 years old. Despite everything he has endured, Snoopy remains incredibly sweet, gentle, and eager for love. He just wants someone to sit beside him, reassure him, and show him that the world can still be good. Snoopy has survived neglect. He has survived fear. Now he deserves the chance to truly live — with a family who will never let him feel unwanted again. Won’t you be the one to give Snoopy the happy ending he has waited so patiently for? Visit www.scoutshonor.org for more informationAugust 16, 2026, 12:01 am

Story
If you would like more information about Brown Dog & his buddy, White Dog or are interested in adopting them, please contact this number, 281.932.8413 Hi there! Me and my buddy are two male coonhounds, I’m Brown Dog and he’s White Dog. We were dumped as puppies in 2020 but have been lovingly cared for by an elderly couple. Sadly, they can no longer care for us, so we’re looking for a new forever home— together, if possible. We’re friendly, smart, highly trainable and great with people and other dogs. We’ve lived outdoors with an electric fence and are used to being brought in at night. We do have strong hunting instincts, so a home without small animals is best. We are also great running dogs and will stay right by your side, either on or off leash. I’m Brown Dog (the smaller boss) and I take a daily glucosamine supplement after recovering from Rocky Mountain spotted fever as a pup. My brother, White Dog, is a bit more reserved but loves ear scratches. We’ve never met a stranger and can’t wait to meet you!
