THANKS TO A GENEROUS DONOR, TOBY TRENT'S ADOPTION FEE IS SPONSORED! September 2025 UPDATE:  2 1/2yr old, male, neutered, Mountain Cur.  Approximately 45 pounds, up to date on vaccinations. Tobey is a wonderful dog/companion. He’s obedient…sits, comes when called and just genuinely wants to please.  Crate trained, he eats in this “dining car”, as he is a super fast gobbler of food and would devour the others if left to his own devices. Sleeps in a crate occasionally but prefers sleeping with his person on the foot of the bed. TT loves car rides, running, outside, playing fetch, running (needs to be mentioned again cause some days he’s nonstop), treats, toys, and company. He loves his people but is a huge fan of other dogs (living w/4 other dogs) and cats (as long as the cat's not running from him). Kids seem to be on his list of likes, although his foster home doesn't have any.   Toby is an adventurer and would adore having someone to hike, go camping or fishing trips together.  He’s a very loyal and energetic fella.  He is quite the character and oh so lovable. Toby Trent must have a secure fenced-in yard as he will travel. If you are interested in adopting Toby, submit an Adoption Form at https://mcalwv.com/December 1, 2025, 8:54 pm

Story
***Courtesy Post*** Bruno is approximately six months old and 40 pounds.  He was taken in as a skinny stray by a community member.  He's now a healthy boy, ready for his FURever home.  He's neutered and up to date on shots.  He has been with his sister until she was adopted last week, playing and romping, and growing big & strong.  Bruno is good with older children.  He's energetic and bouncy and every bit a puppy!  He currently resides in a horse stall, with socialization throughout the day by the family (adults and children).  Let's get this boy into his FURever home for Christmas! Please call 304-667-8371 for additional information, photos, or adoption requirements.  December 3, 2025, 12:04 pm

Story
Summers County Humane Society Meet Brody. This sweet boy followed some kind strangers on their walk along a rural road. His paws showed that he had been walking for some time. Despite efforts to find hid owners, no one ever showed. he is now ready for adoption. Brody knows how to sit, walks well on a leash and appears to be house trained. Brody gets along with most other dogs, but he will chase cats. Please help Buddy find his forever home. Please sponsor me!
