Story
Occasionally we get in some rare little pups that you wonder why they are so well behaved.  We know they haven't really had any formal training or real attention in their early life.  Well Arch is one of those rare boy puppies who we have found to be all the things rolled up in to one gorgeous, special young puppy.  Born December 8th we are told, this handsome brindle little man is a combination of Beagle and Mountain Cur.  The interesting physical element to this good looking boy is that he has the softest, velvety fur that just makes you wan to stroke his head and all the way down his back .  He is just a bright and loving little guy who jumps around like a little bunny when excited to see you.  He is not a runner and just follows you around the yard and when you say to come in he comes a-runnin'.  His recall is great and he knows his name immediately.  So smart!!! He is learning how to walk on a leash and how to wear a collar for the first time at just 3 months of age.  He is snuggly, fearless and runs amongst the BIG dogs in the foster home and endures the small old ladies who don't appreciate his enthusiasm for life.  He never gets his feelings hurt.  He is learning the pee pad and also what outside bathroom breaks are all about.  He is alert and inquisitive and loves to burrow under the covers on the sofa on in your bed.  He loves bedroom shoes and will gather his foster mom's in his dog bed as a collection that he is so proud to have with him.  He is crate trained and does well almost all night.  Hungry?  You bed he is ......he loves his food and this should be used for training purposes.  He is always interested in what your are eating too!!!      So let's say that if you want a perfect puppy and one that you might not have to have a fenced yard for....then Arch is your guy.  We expect him to be a 35 or maybe 40 pound adult dog.  Depends on if the Beagle side kicks in.  His fee are not big and at 3 months he is just 11 pounds.  Don't hesitate to give this boy some deep thought and consideration.  He is so handsome and will be a once in a lifetime companion.  Please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   Please state where you live:  city and state.   We can adopt to Tennessee residents where the rescue originates and we also can transport him to the northeastern corridor of states on a certificated animal transport carrier/van.  He is ready March 20th   He will be neutered and all shots done and microchipped and dewormed.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 9, 2026, 6:34 pm

Story
Oakley, affectionately known as 'Dottie girl ' by her foster family, has such a sweet, lovable, big personality and is very eager to please!  This Pit/Mountain Curr mix is a total Phoenix that has risen from the fires of neglect, abandonment and even successfully raised her litter of puppies in the woods for the first 10 weeks of life. They were all successfully adopted in the Fall and living wonderful lives of love and commitment from their families.  Oakley is the perfect girl that lives with anyone and everyone that comes her way.  She embraces all people and dogs and she just lives her life with resilience and tolerance.  This girl might not be a Golden Retriever in looks but she surpasses any of the commonly accepted breeds that everyone gravitates to and wants to adopt.  Take her Pit mix package look away and please consider only her SOUL?  Trust us, you will not want to look elsewhere for the most perfect and beautiful temperamented dog.  Oakley sits on command and walks nicely on a leash.  When she meets new people, she is so very social and she embraces all other dogs, adults and children alike.  This girl loves to play dress up in cozy sweaters and loves a good chew toy. HOW FUN!???? RIGHT?  If you have children she is right there to engage and play with them and their fantasies.  This Momma dog is just a young 2yr old, 40lb sweetheart who longs to be an inside dog that can cuddle up next to you on the couch and help you melt the life challenges away.   Oakley had outsmarted many rescuers for months running around the county with her litter of puppies being. When she gave in we realized what a remarkable Mom she was and the beauty of her puppies.  All of her puppies have been adopted, but now Oakley is raising her heart and hand to say…. Pick Me Too!  She deserves a remarkable future and life because she will provide the amazing dog companion to someone that can ever be imagined.  Forget the wrapper on the package and consider the heart please…You won’t regret living a life with Oakley. Story
Meet Leo a 1 and a half-year-old hound/Lab mix with a stunning coat, soulful eyes, and the cutest curly tail. He can be a little cautious at first, but once he knows you are kind, he is all heart. True to his hound roots, Leo loves walks and sniffing everything—every outing is an adventure! He has lived peacefully with a cat and another dog before, and we are happy to do a meet-and-greet with any resident pups. Leo is still polishing his house training skills, but he is very smart and treat-motivated, and he is already making great progress. With consistency and patience, he will continue to thrive. Thanks to Salems Light Rescue sponsoring his medical care, Leo is now neutered, up to date on rabies, and heartworm tested negative This gentle, sweet boy is ready for a fresh start and a forever home to call his own.

Story
Meet Tinkerbell 1.5 year old Lab Hound mix, about 50 lbs Tinkerbell is a beautiful young girl who just needs a little time to feel safe. She can be nervous when meeting new people, but with a calm one on one walk and a few treats, she warms up quickly and shows her sweet personality. She is very treat motivated, which makes training and bonding rewarding. She came to us underweight but is gaining well and currently weighs around 50 lbs. In her previous home, she lived successfully with another dog and a cat. She is not spayed yet, but that will be scheduled soon. Tinkerbell is still working on house training. With frequent potty breaks and consistency, she does well. She will thrive in a patient, calm home that helps her continue building confidence. Tinkerbell was surrendered with her brother Leo. She is ready for a loving home where she can feel safe and truly shine.
