Story
Oakley, affectionately known as 'Dottie girl ' by her foster family, has such a sweet, lovable, big personality and is very eager to please!  This Pit/Mountain Curr mix is a total Phoenix that has risen from the fires of neglect, abandonment and even successfully raised her litter of puppies in the woods for the first 10 weeks of life. They were all successfully adopted in the Fall and living wonderful lives of love and commitment from their families.  Oakley is the perfect girl that lives with anyone and everyone that comes her way.  She embraces all people and dogs and she just lives her life with resilience and tolerance.  This girl might not be a Golden Retriever in looks but she surpasses any of the commonly accepted breeds that everyone gravitates to and wants to adopt.  Take her Pit mix package look away and please consider only her SOUL?  Trust us, you will not want to look elsewhere for the most perfect and beautiful temperamented dog.  Oakley sits on command and walks nicely on a leash.  When she meets new people, she is so very social and she embraces all other dogs, adults and children alike.  This girl loves to play dress up in cozy sweaters and loves a good chew toy. HOW FUN!???? RIGHT?  If you have children she is right there to engage and play with them and their fantasies.  This Momma dog is just a young 2yr old, 40lb sweetheart who longs to be an inside dog that can cuddle up next to you on the couch and help you melt the life challenges away.   Oakley had outsmarted many rescuers for months running around the county with her litter of puppies being. When she gave in we realized what a remarkable Mom she was and the beauty of her puppies.  All of her puppies have been adopted, but now Oakley is raising her heart and hand to say…. Pick Me Too!  She deserves a remarkable future and life because she will provide the amazing dog companion to someone that can ever be imagined.  Forget the wrapper on the package and consider the heart please…You won’t regret living a life with Oakley. Contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   Please mention where you life when you ask for an application:  City and state.  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comFebruary 5, 2025, 12:55 pm

Story
Name: Kreme (but my friends call me Krispy Kreme) Age: Born October 2024 (young, fun, zero baggage) Height: Fun-sized Coloring: Cream with a black mask (yes, I know it’s a good look) About Me: Smart, athletic Lab mix looking for a long-term commitment 💍 I’m the kind of girl who loves to train, work, and be part of the action. If you’re doing something, I’d like to come along for the ride—road trips, adventures, training days, errands… I’m in. Quietly. Like a very good copilot. I’m outdoorsy and love a purpose. Trials? Training? Structured fun? Yes please. When my brain and body are satisfied, I’m also excellent at chilling on my place board with a bone like a civilized lady. Personality: ✨ People lover ✨ Eager to learn ✨ Affectionate without being clingy ✨ Settles nicely when needs are met I walk on leash pretty well for my age (heel is a work in progress, but aren’t we all?). I ride quietly in the car, transition well between environments, and genuinely enjoy hanging out with my humans. Deal Breakers: 🚫 Squirrels 🚫 Cats These two are on my Most Wanted list and I take that job very seriously. Because of this strong prey drive, I may not be the best match for homes with small animals or very small children. Big kids, active adults, and structured households are more my speed. Green Flags: ✔️ No food aggression ✔️ No resource guarding ✔️ You can take my ball without drama ✔️ Social and friendly ✔️ Medically cleared and up to date (4DX negative, rabies, distemper, Bordetella ✔️) Ideal Match: Someone active, patient, and excited about training. A person or family who enjoys structure, adventure, and bringing their dog with them—not leaving them behind. Bonus points if you like smart dogs who want a job and will make you laugh. Looking For: A forever teammate 💕
