Trying to find Jack his perfect forever home. Jack is 8. Jack once belonged to a family member before I took him. Unfortunately, for his safety and well being, keeping him isn’t an option as I have a reactive dog. Jack is very sweet, playful, high energy. Very cuddly, loves belly rubs. Fast learner, obedient, excellent listener. Will do best in a child free house (may do okay with other dogs) and with experienced dog parent/s.

Story
This is Tarzan "Bobanny". I am absolutely devasted to get rid of him. The only reason is that I just had a baby and it's just me and I can't care for both. He is very sweet and loves cuddling. He loves to run and be chased. He loves being asked to show you his toys. He loves being asked if it's time for bed too. He very often will collect his toys and bring them to bed with him. He is house trained and somewhat trained beyond that, but he is young and I was still training him so he could use an owner with some patience. He can have a lot of energy sometimes, but usually after a jog or a trip to the dog park he becomes a cuddly couch potato. He loves bananas and scrambled eggs. He is very smart and with more proper training he could be an amazing dog.

Story
Theo is a 5 1/2 year old Black Lab mix and is a dog who struggles with anxiety and protectiveness around visitors. Once you’re in his circle, you’ll see his true personality. He’s affectionate, loyal, and happiest when he’s curled up next to us. But like many dogs with anxiety, new situations and unfamiliar people can feel overwhelming to him. His instinct is to protect and sometimes to react before he has time to understand that everything is okay. Theo would thrive in an environment where he has lots of exercise and with owners who are willing to give him the time and attention he deserves. He’s good with other dogs and would be best suited in an adults only environment or with older children. He’s up to date on vaccinations and we are willing to travel to bring him to the right home.

This is Jag!! We are relocation and do not have the yard space that he loves!! He is such a sweet and obedient dog and loves to lay out in the sun. He is crate trained and loves kids. He gets along with other dogs but really loves all the attention to himself so I think he loves being an only dog.

Ramona's journey has not been an easy one. She was born as part of a litter of street dogs in Aruba, where kind people occasionally fed them, but life on the streets was still dangerous. Ramona was struck by a car twice, suffering a crushed femur that required corrective surgery. Thanks to excellent veterinary care and her incredible resilience, she made a full recovery and has never let her difficult start slow her down. Since coming to the U.S., Ramona has blossomed into a happy, playful, affectionate dog. At Doggy Has Soul Sanctuary, she transformed from a frightened puppy into a confident, joyful girl who loves running and playing with her dog friends. Say her name and she'll come running with a big smile, hoping for a treat and some attention. Ramona is approximately 2 years old and weighs about 35 pounds. She is potty trained, crate trained, and does best with canine companionship. She absolutely loves daycare and has earned a reputation as the social butterfly and party clown of the group. . Everything points to Ramona being a Black Mouth Cur mix, although no DNA testing has been done. Ramona is looking for a loving, committed forever home where she can continue to thrive. Ideally, she would love to have at least one other dog in the home to help her feel confident and keep her company. We ask that adopters live within 40 miles of Elgin. If you're looking for a resilient, loving companion with a heart as big as her smile, Ramona may be the perfect addition to your family. 🐾💕

Twitch is a good boy, but I made the mistake of thinking that because he loves being around other dogs, that meant he'd be happy with a doggy sibling. However, he became aggressive to our other dog, and despite our best efforts, it's continued to escalate.He needs a home where he's an only dog, but he does love visiting with dogs. He also loves being outside, and he'd be much happier with a yard. He has not taken to potty pads, but he's consistent with his potty training when he has access to a yard. He's quite shy with strangers, especially men, but gets very close with his caretakers. He quickly became buddies with a friend who watched him for 2 weeks. He's ok with kids but would do better in a home without them. He gets very excited for car rides and knows basic commands. He enjoys wearing clothes and loves showing off how cute he is in them! His favorite way to spend his time is napping next to his people. Just give him a little time to warm up and he'll be a great lap companion!
