Story
Sadly she was left behind and left with my disabled mom, poor baby Athena is deaf. My mom has been doing all she can for her. She can't take her outside because of how strong she is. Athena is a sweet girl, she seems good with older kids and may knock over small children, because she get so excited. I haven't seen her around cat. She seems good around other dogs.

Story
It breaks my heart to do this, but I’m looking to rehome my dog, Maverick, to the right person or family. Maverick is a 9 year-old prior rescue (birthday October) with a life expectancy of 14-16 years. He’s been with me since he was a pup, and he truly is a loving dog at heart but he’s also a bit complex and needs the right environment to thrive. He is naturally shy and skittish, especially around people. He’s not aggressive at all—just very aloof and prefers to keep his distance. Once he feels safe, his sweet and loyal personality really starts to show. He’s one of those dogs who bonds deeply, just on his own terms. Maverick gets along well with other pets and mostly keeps to himself. He has high anxiety and has had professional training, which has helped, but he still needs a patient and understanding owner. He is house trained and leashed trained. Describe him: Stubborn but intelligent, timid but tough, Loving but independent. Doesn't like his paws touched.

Story
Origin: RomaniaAge: 3 New Home Preferences: no little kids, owner willing to trainMaya is loyal, sweet, intelligent (would train well), and lives with 2 other furbrothers well.My husband and I adopted Maya from Romania and sent her to my parents for care until we came back from over seas. We assume Maya's mother is a Carpathian Shepard. Unfortunately, my parents were not able to socialize her or get her trained during our time away. Since then, we noticed her behavior was more on the skiddish side, and we believe she has some trauma due to her travel experiences from over seas to stateside. I became pregnant and my husband and I were concerned she would not be good around babies due to some unpredictable behavior we've noticed. She has never bitten anyone, but she can be possessive, skiddish, and has growled at strangers. My mom has also been struggling with an auto immune disease, so despite their desire to keep her, it has understandably been a challenge for them.

Story
Hi, we have a disabled dog that we found about a year ago in the cemetery and we are just not cut out to accommodate his disabilities. He is a good dog and is good with other dogs, cats, and children. He is special needs, he has some sort of spinal issue which makes him wobbly and unsteady on his back legs and sometimes he can’t get up to go to the bathroom outside in time. He is up-to-date on all vaccines and on flea and tick prevention and has a wheelchair but he hasn’t had a lot of experience with it. We are trying to go through IVF and have a baby and we just can’t handle it with us trying to have a baby too. We can drive to wherever he’s wanting to be adopted to. We can bring him anywhere with no charge. We just want him to go to a good loving home with someone who is experienced with disabled dogs and has the time to take care of him.

Story
We got Binner when he was a puppy . He is a sweet and loving dog he just needs to be in a home who doesn’t have little kids . We have 4 kids, 2 of which are toddlers. He is okay with the older ones but gets nervous/anxious around the younger ones. We just unfortunately don’t have the time to give him the attention and love he needs or time to play and daily walks . He needs a loving home preferably a home without young children so he can get all the love and attention he needs . We are very sad we have to do this ! It breaks our heart . But we want what is best for our family and Binner ❤️

Story
Banner is a 4 year old playful pup. According to an Embark DNA test, hes mostly pit bull and pyrenees with some labrador, golden, and pug mixed in. We adopted him from the Humane Society of Missouri when he was about 4 months. He grew up with another large dog and lives most of his days inside on a couch or outside in a secure fenced-in yard. Hes good at chilling at home while weve been at work. Hes generally good with people but can get hyper about meeting new humans. Hes completely house trained and knows not to jump on people. However, he is not leash trained. Our hearts are broken because we love him dearly and he is a such a special pup. However, within the last year, he has acted up a few times regarding food aggression. We believe this is due to our baby human addition(s) to our family within the past year. We know he will be a really good fit for a family with older kids or a couple or just an adult who will cuddle him at the end of the day.
