Layla is 5. We got her on 2/14/21 We were told she was one type of dog and found out after a few months that they lied, so we did a DNA test to figure it out. (See photo) Layla is a great dog but needs a lot more attention and exercise than we can give. She loves being outside and loves to run and play. Due to our house being on a high speed road, she can’t run and play outside as much as needed because we don’t have a fenced in yard. Okay on a leash, goes outside without a leash and usually listens really well. Great with people and loves kids. We had 2 cats at one point and she was fine with them but it’s been 4 years so we are unsure. Super friendly but sometimes obnoxious with the amount of hands-on attention she needs. Likes to grumble/light growl when excited and wants attention, loves being pet and brushed. She has never bit anyone or any other dog. We will get a clean bill of health and make sure shots are up to date before she heads to her new home

BASIC INFORMATION 🙃 Describe their temperament: He is very adventurous/curious. Big love bug! He loves everyone he everyone he meets. 🔋 Energy level: Medium - Typical puppy energy; will need walks and/or play sessions to fulfill energy needs daily. 🔓 Are they crate trained? Yes 🚽 Are they potty trained? We’re still working on that part 🎓 Known commands (if any): 'Sit', 'Drop' 🔗 How do they do on leash? He does very well. He doesn’t pull at all keeps a loose line. He loves going for walks and we’ve gotten a lot better at sitting so we can put the leash on. 🥩 What is their favorite snack? Any dietary restrictions or allergies? No diet restrictions. He really loves his kibble right now! 🥎 What is their favorite toy? He likes soft things he can chew on & kings 👠 Can they differentiate toys from items they are not allowed to chew on/play with? Not yet, but we redirect him. He's doing much better, but socks are his weak spot! 🩶 Likes: playing with his people and dogs, lunch/dinner time, cuddling up and falling asleep on you. ✖️ Dislikes: loud noises BEHAVIOR 🐩 Describe how do they interact with other dogs? He likes other dogs. He loves to play so having someone to play with is a bonus. He’s a little nervous at first when meeting new dogs but warms up to them quick and will initiate play. 🐈‍⬛ Describe how do they interact with cats? Other small animals? He’s not much bigger than they are so he keeps his distance most of the time. He respects their space and responds to their corrections if needed. Most of the time he doesn’t even pay attention to the cat. He’s very interested in the guinea pigs but he only watches them. 🍼 Describe how do they interact with kids? He does well with kids. He gets lots of attention so he loves that. 👤 Describe how do they interact with people? Meeting strangers? Strangers coming up to the door at home? He’s great when meeting other people. He greets them with his tail wagging. 🚕 How do they do in the car? He’s really good in the car. He sleeps or sits in your lap for the majority of the ride. 🧼 How do they do in the bath? Doesn’t put up a fuss in the bath. He doesn’t like getting in at first but he will stand there and enjoy being scrubbed down 💅🏼 How do they do for nails? Good with his nails. He squirms around just a little but he lets you do whatever you need to do. 🤝🏼 How well do they tolerate general handling? He’s very relaxed. He does not mind being held and likes when his feet are rubbed. 🩶 They need more help with...? Puppy manners, learning basic puppy commands and potty training. ______ 📜 Any known history: Arrived from the south; his siblings are Melva Lynn, Viola Belle, Muela Marie, and Gerald Glenn. 💌 A note from my foster: Clancy is a very sweet boy. He is such a love bug! He loves falling asleep on your lap and he curls up into the tiniest ball. He sleeps through the night without issues. He also loves exploring new places, and is rather independent. He is a very confident pup and has adjusted to life pretty quickly.

Looking for the right home for our beloved dog After 10 years together, this is an incredibly difficult post for us to write. We love our dog deeply, and he has been a wonderful part of our family. He is a kind, loving dog with a sweet personality, and we want to find him a home where he can truly thrive. Over the past year, he has developed significant anxiety when left alone. Unfortunately, this has progressed to destructive behavior around our windows and doors when he becomes distressed. We have come to recognize that what he really needs is a person or family who can be with him most of the time and who understands that his anxiety isn't him being “bad” he genuinely struggles when he is alone. He is affectionate, loyal, and very excited to see people. When someone arrives, he will bark and get very excited, but once he settles in, he is a kind and loving companion.

so this is boxer he’s almost two years old. his birthday is on new year’s day. i got him from a neighbor that had puppies. Boxer needs a place a where he can run like crazy.
