Meet Dustin (aka Dusty)! 🐾 Dusty is an elite-level cuddler whose life goal is to be as physically close to his humans as possible (if he could crawl under your skin, he would). He'll settle into your home instantly, and happily crawl into your lap for snuggles and pets anytime. This sweet guy is also incredibly smart and eager to learn. In just a few days, Dusty picked up “sit,” “stay,” “touch,” and “go to your place,” showing how quickly he catches on and how responsive he is to his humans. He was a little wary of the elevator and stairwell to begin with, but after a few times of positive affirmation (and of course some treats), he struts into them without batting an eye. He enjoys walks and loves taking in all the sights, smells, and sounds of NYC, excitedly sniffing and exploring along the way. He does get excited around other dogs, small children, and especially pigeons, and may pull toward them, but with continued training he has lots of potential to polish his leash manners. Dusty is also fully house-trained and excellent with his crate. He’ll happily amble into his crate on his own to take a nap and settled quickly when he was alone for a few hours. He’s also a fairly quiet pup, only letting out the occasional whine to express serious dissatisfaction. He doesn’t chew or destroy things, but he will politely paw at you if he thinks the petting has stopped too soon. One of Dusty’s signature moves is wiggling his head under your hand so he can essentially pet himself. it’s as goofy as it sounds and irresistibly cute. With his snuggly nature, smarts, and gentle charm, Dusty is ready to be someone’s devoted best friend and professional cuddle companion.

Toby is a gentle, sweet boy with a personality that is quieter and more laid-back than his friend Gracie. When he first came to us, he was a little bit more reserved and shy, but after about a week, he was already in the habit doing happy spins when we arrived home after work. Toby's favorite thing is probably big, comfy beds. He is a very easygoing presence in our apartment, and always makes us laugh by doing things like finding socks and collecting them in his bed, or taking his kibble from his bowl to eat it one piece at a time in his bed. Like most dogs, he loves attention and snacks (he can stand on his back legs for a surprisingly long time if he thinks there's a chance he'll get a potato chip). Toby is truly one of the best dogs and he's sure to steal your heart quicker than you'll steal his.

She gets so excited when we wake up or come home, and one of her favorite things to do whisper-bark and politely tap you on your leg to ask for belly rubs or a kiss on the cheek (no really, getting kissed on her cheek is one of her favorite things. She doesn't lick you back, she just closes her eyes and looks like she's smiling) Gracie is bonded to her friend Toby and must be adopted with him. She is a truly special little soul and an absolute joy to have around.
