Butter is a true sweetie who is sure to be the perfect companion for any adopter looking for a buddy to accompany them on adventures! Butter came from the Manhattan ACC and adjusted to life in foster care seamlessly. On the car ride home from the shelter he immediately fell asleep, already feeling content with his new chapter ahead. In his new home, Butter has a great appetite; he loves treats and has already learned "sit" and "down." He loves to play with his canine foster sister and is taking boundary cues from her like a champ! Butter is incredibly affectionate. His favorite thing is to give hugs and kisses to anyone who says hi to him. At home he'll often roll onto his back to receive belly rubs, paws in the air and tongue out with joy. Butter likes to follow his human around the apartment. He tilts his head back and forth at new words and sounds he's never heard before. He's been having fun trying new fruits and veggies (watermelon is a favorite, bell peppers he'll pass on!) On walks Butter is the perfect gentleman. He trots beside his human wonderfully. He does not react to other dogs, pigeons, scooters, children, etc. He does his business with ease, and easily follows and listens when you call his name. Butter has such a sweet disposition. He's goofy and outgoing, and his joy for life is really infectious. People on the street smile when the see him walking with his tongue hanging out! Butter bean, Butterfingers, Butter boy, Butter baby, Butta-bing Butta-boom, Butta butt... he's truly an angel and can't wait to find his forever home!

He’s incredibly sweet and always wants to follow you around and cuddle up right next to you. He’s learning how to play fetch and tug and also fairly confident on his walks. He does pull when he’s interested (usually another dog or sometimes a person) but is fairly good for a puppy. When he’s at home he is mostly content sleeping and joining in whatever you’re doing. He does fairly well in the crate as well and can be left alone without much whining. Overall he’s a great dog and would make for a great addition in any home.

She settled into her new home almost immediately and adjusted to her new environment with so much confidence and ease. She definitely knows she has an adorable side, and she is not afraid to use it to melt your heart. Sadie is very affectionate and loves being close to her people. She is gentle, cuddly, and enjoys staying connected with you. She is also a fun, playful, and sometimes silly little girl who brings a lot of joy to the home. At the same time, she is very well-mannered, smart, and eager to learn. On walks, Sadie has been doing really well. She has shown little to no reactivity, and she has never lunged. She may gently pull on the leash from time to time, but it is very manageable. New streets and unfamiliar environments can make her a little nervous at first, but she continues to build confidence with patience and encouragement. She has also learned some simple commands (such as "yes", "no", "wait", "leave it", and "come here") and is continuing to show how smart and trainable she is. Overall, Sadie is a loving, gentle, playful, and well-behaved little best friend. She has so much love to give and would make a wonderful friend for someone looking for a sweet and loyal pup.
