Story
This is Emma. She is just over a year old and is mixed pit bull and what I think may be lab, but am not sure. She was rescued from the Brunswick county animal shelter. Shots are up to date. Not fixed. She is very sweet and is great with adults, children, dogs and cats. She is very enthusiastic when she meets people but calms down after a few minutes. She is not aggressive and rarely barks. She is very storng for her size. She is a chewer, but never on furniture or anything. Just her toys. She is put in a kennel when away from the house. Housebroken. She would do best in a home where someone is there more often than not and have the time to pay attention to her. She sleeps in the bed with her people. Will provide her dog bed, bowls, food, toys and grooming supplies.

Story
Knox has been in the family since he was a puppy. When he was 6 months old, he was attacked by another dog and needed staples. Since then, he has been dog shy. He was introduced to a dachshund when he was 6 years old, and while it took a little while for them to be comfortable, they became best friends. Our daughter was petting our dachshund and Knox snapped at her, scratching her face. She has grown to be scared of dogs and having dogs in the house is no longer an option. We have rehomed our dachshund but have not been able to rehome Knox yet. Knox is 10 years old, and generally a very obedient loving dog. Knox would do best as the only dog, unless the adopter is willing to work on introducing him to a dog that is already in the family. Aside from the incident above, Knox has never had any mishaps with humans. Knox loves to play fetch and chase a ball in the backyard. He loves to get treats and give lots of kisses.
