Story
We brought Opie home from the local dog warden as a pup. He was found in the woods alone with such a terrible case of mange, he was completely hairless. He blossomed into such a sweet and handsome boy. He is a complete love bug and wants to be wherever you are. Opie is crate trained and completely up to date on vaccinations. He has been raised with cats and our young son and we have not had any issues with that. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about our poultry. Despite our every efforts to keep them separated, he will kill chickens/turkeys etc if he gets a chance. I do not believe he is an aggressive dog and want to give him a chance at a better life than being constantly kenneled.

Story
We adopted Leon as a companion for our other dog, and they're okay but he can be snippy and we've given it a year, so it's not time. We've learned in this year he needs more than we're capable of, and I am now without a job and cannot afford the time nor additional care he needs. He doesn't bother children and is pretty indifferent to cats. He doesn't like high energy dogs that are younger than him as he gets grumpy. He gets very nervous when there are fireworks so please keep that in mind. We've always given him calming treats and cuddles and that helps. He is housebroken but he has a small bladder and will often overdrink, so he needs frequent breaks to void. He also has a tendency to spit up his food and drink. I think those habits come from his previous home environment as he food guards from other animals but not humans. There's nothing to be done about the spit up aside from use a slow feeder and slow drink bowl and hold him upright to help him swallow his intake properly.

I’m a super chill guy who just loves being around my people and other pups 🐶 I’m always down to hang out, whether that means going for a nice walk or just relaxing together. I’m really good on a leash and pay close attention, so walks with me are easy and fun 🚶‍♂️✨ I love other dogs and get along great with everyone, but I’m also really respectful if someone isn’t in the mood to play. I totally get it and will just do my own thing 😊 I’m not aggressive at all with people or dogs, I seriously love everyone I meet 💕 More than anything, I’m just dreaming of my forever home 🏡 somewhere I can have a consistent routine, feel safe, and get nice and cozy with my humans 🛋️ I promise to bring lots of love, calm energy, and happy moments into your life 💖
