Meet Klondike – A Sweet Soul Ready for a Fresh Start Sweet Klondike ended up at a local shelter as a stray. He was microchipped, but his family never came for him. He was set to be euthanized because he was so fearful of the vet staff. Klondike is truly a hidden gem—a shy heart just waiting to blossom in the right home. He needs someone willing to go slow, give him patience, and offer the stability he’s never had. In return, you’ll gain a deeply devoted and loving companion. Estimated at about 4 years old, Klondike appears to have been under-socialized, so he is still getting used to new sights and sounds. He can be anxious and uncertain with new people at first and will require a little bit of time to settle into a new environment and to earn his trust. Anyone who gives him that chance will be rewarded with unconditional love and lots of kisses!! Klondike is very loving and attentive to his foster family and their teenage children. They are working with him to expose him to new things and helping to build his confidence. His new home should not have young kids; over 12 years would be best. Klondike's favorite pastime is watching and chasing birds. Klondike is fairly mellow for his age but does get burst of zoomies when playing with his stuffies. Klondike walks well on a leash and loves to go on walks! He is house-trained, and has done well for short times in a crate. He also does well for several hours outside of his crate when left alone! Klondike is also dog-friendly! He can live with other dogs, or he could be an only dog. But he loves to play with other dogs! Gemma is a 5 year old female staffy mix looking for a new home. Gemma loves kids and takes time to warm up to adults. She is NOT animal friendly. She loves chew toys and snuggling under the blankets with you. She has a lot of anxiety and animal aggression that I do not have the time or money to work with.

Hello all, my name is Willow! I’m a 2 year old mixed terrier who’s got a lot of energy! Here are some of my favorite things to do: One thing would be car rides; I’m the best passenger, I love sticking my head out every window! Another would be walks/jogs/anything outdoor; I love running around in all kinds of weather! I adore babys/kids; I am a HUGE people person, I can be wild around kids but gentle around babies! As well as filled bones; they taste amazing and keep me occupied for HOURS! Lastly, I’m a huge cuddle bug; I’m a VERY cuddly pup! I love to be close to people at all times. I’m very outgoing, fast, happy, and full of energy! I’m also great with other animals! I can’t wait to meet my new family!

Story
A few weeks ago while my husband was working in Memphis, he saw one little dog at a gas station. Before leaving to Columbus, he decided to stop by one more time and take the dog home if he or she was still there. To his surprise the dog was still there and also her mom and sister. So, he decided to bring the 3 of them home and we went from 1 dog to 4 😬 we have taken them to the vet, and are done with parasite medicine, also 2 shots of rabies. I can say they have adjusted well to a home lifestyle (almost fully potty trained) and everyone that meets them thinks they are the sweetest dogs ever. But, as you can imagine, having 4 dogs is not easy or cheap 🙃 we would like to keep one of the puppies. Mom just got adopted. They get along with our dog and 7-year-old son. Mom is a Rottweiler and puppies are mixed, nice brown/black color.

Meet Indy – A Loyal, Playful Pup Looking for His Perfect Home! 🐶 Indy is a 1.5-year-old, 65-pound bundle of love with striking multi-color eyes and a playful personality. We adopted him as a 3-month-old puppy from CHA in March 2024. He’s house-trained, knows basic commands from a 2-week professional training program, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs and our two cats (who he believes run the show!). Indy is energetic, snuggly, and smart—he thrives on outdoor playtime, walks, and attention. He would do best in a home with a fenced yard or space to run and explore daily. His favorite things? Playing outside, dog park adventures, and curling up for cuddles after a good zoomie session. We’re making the difficult decision to rehome Indy because our current life stage doesn’t allow us to give him the time and space he deserves. He’s truly a great dog—we just know he’ll flourish even more with a family who can match his energy and affection.

She is a very kind and loving dog not food aggressive at all does not play with toys prefers one on one playing. She is about five years old. She’s smart lovable, and will be your best friend till the very end. I got her while I was in West Virginia saved her from abusive people. I’m very saddened to have to rehome her, but unfortunately my living situation does not allow for me to keep her.
