Story
We adopted Gent about 2 and half year ago from Second Chance shelter in Norman. He was very nervous and shy but we fell in love immediately and knew we wanted to give him a good home. This was our time taking care of a dog and we were very excited to have him! Over the years his behavior hasn’t changed much. He is still very scared and shy. Aside from this, he has still been an important part of our family. He has been on 3 separate week long family vacations with us including the beach, camping and visiting the Grand Canyon! All this to say that this has been a very hard decision. Especially since we truly believe he could be helped with consistent training and more experienced owners. If you believe this is you we would love to talk to you more about him.

Story
I've had Waffle about 15 months. He was a stray. He's always been housetrained and took to me really fast. He can hold his bladder/poop all day for a good 10 plus hours. (8 hour shift plus lunch/drive time=10) He's literally never had an accident. He weighs 55 pounds. He's an inside dog. He hasn't ever chewed anything in the house up, but I buy him a new toy to chew up every couple of weeks. He's not a picky eater-he will eat whatever you give him. I've lived in an iffy area where strangers often approach my house, and his bark scares them away every time. I peek out the blinds and watch the stranger retreat, then thank Waffle and he wags and is happy to have helped. That's the only time he barks unless you're having guests he's never met. I'm sad to lose him, but the landlord where I'm moving said no. He sleeps at the end of my bed, but he also kennels well if you cover the crate with a blanket.

Story
I would like to keep them together if possible. The momma is Minnie and the male is Petey. She is a little more than 2 years and Petey is one year old she is spayed but he still needs fixed. Both are sweet dogs but have not been trained or worked with at all and they have been in my small yard since Petey was born and he has killed a cat that got in the back yard. Minnie was good with the cats before but since they have been together and stuck In the back yard isolated for so long I am assuming that both are going to be a danger to cats. I have been caring for them for over a year trying to find them homes. The renters next door moved off and left Minnie when she was pregnant. I found homes for all the pups except Petey and the pair has been here ever since. Thank you for any help finding loving homes for them. Minnie is 50 lbs and Petey is larger. I’m not sure of his weight. I would guess 65-70 lbs. I will separate the pair if I have to but my hope is that they stay together

Story
I found a dog on the side of a dirt road beginning of November 2023. Along with her were five of her brothers and one sister. They all appeared to be in good health and seemed to have been abandoned. Im hoping for a better outcome for them. It's heartbreaking to think of their situation, but Im hopeful that theyll find loving homes soon. She is up to date on her shots and has been spayed in December 2024. She is a very sweet girl who deserves a chance at a new home. Her gentle nature and affectionate demeanor make her an ideal companion. Please consider giving her the opportunity to find her forever home. Your kindness and compassion would be greatly appreciated.

Story
Zeus was rescued and found malnourished, he has since fattened into a chunky boy. He can sit, lay, rollover, and considers himself a lap dog. Zeus is a gentle dog with a high tolerance for toddler behavior. He needs a home full of attention and love. He loves to play, but is careful not to bite and would rather give up his toy than accidentally bite you. He has never bitten anyone. You can reach into his bowl without fear of being bit and he will eat about anything you give him. He mostly is content to just lay next to you at this age and sleep.

Story
Showed up at my house cannot keep because I travel a lot. Looking for a good home for him. Seems like a good dog. He doesn’t leave the yard unless you do. Will bark at strangers but not approach them, seems to enjoy car rides and always wants to come in the house so I’m guessing he is probably an inside dog before he showed up here .
