Story
Hi! My name is Benny. I live with my mom, dad, two kids, and my litter mate. I just turned 3 and came from Puerto Rico as a stray. I am insecure and shy but I LOVE my people. My brother and I don’t get along like we used to, mom says we are better apart. My human kids are also getting bigger & way too energetic for me. I get stressed by them & would rather not be around kids. I would love a home with no young kids or other dogs. I am house & crate trained & know my basic obedience. I love walks and hikes and chasing chipmunks or squirrels. Fetching sticks is also awesome. Otherwise I’ll be napping in any spot of sun I can find. With lots of positive reinforcement, structure, and patience I will open up and feel relaxed. I promise to love you and give the best hugs. I am perfect for someone who wants a companion with little maintenance. I want to be the center of your world. Will you give me a chance at a new home.? Home check and references required

Story
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN SIMON, PLEASE GO TO OUR WEBSITE TO READ ABOUT THE ADOPTION PROCESS AND FILL OUT AN APPLICATION. www.furkidrescue.org Simon was a “Covid dog” and the adopter is now looking to re-home him. Here is what his adopter has to say about him- Simon is a sweet boy with a lot of energy - a perfect adventure companion. He needs to be in a home with a lot of stimulation - preferably with parents who run or hike. He is very playful and loves car rides and water. He has mild resource guarding behaviors so he should not be left unsupervised with other dogs or small children. He also can't live in a home with cats. Simon has lived happily in his home for 4yrs. He is a great adventure companion who loves the car, water, and the woods. Due to recent changes in the adopter’s life and job circumstances he is unable to meet Simon’s high activity needs.  Simon has destructive and anxious behaviors when he is not properly stimulated. He will chew things he’s not supposed to and bark. He is not suitable in a home where he needs to be left alone for long periods of time. When he has the exercise and attention he needs these behaviors are not an issue. He has been through 4 training classes and is very responsive and intelligent. Please consider making Simon part of your family.

Story
I have had Momma for a little over three years. I adopted her from a rescue. I have had the same cats since adopting her, with the exception of 1 who passed away from old age, and she did absolutely fine with them, until the last several months. She keeps running after them and acting like she wants to hurt them, not in a playful way. I am afraid that she may hurt one of them. I have been putting her in her crate when I leave the house, just in case. She has been checked by the vet, with no health issues. I've done what I can to deter this behavior, but it has done no good. She has had no issues with my other 3 dogs. No issues either at the dog park with any other dogs.
