Story
Leo is a gorgeous neapolitan mastiff.  His ideal home would be a home with someone who knows the breed and can set boundaries for him to thrive. He has the potential to do well with other dogs as long as the other dogs have good temperament. He was fostered with kids who were 12 years of age and he did good with them. Come meet sweet Leo if you are looking for a gorgeous large boy. Leo's adoption fee includes training. April 25, 2024, 5:29 pm

Story
Your Gentle Giant Looking for Love! Hello there, I'm Hippo, a 4-year-old Bull Mastiff mix, a big boy at 92 lbs, and neutered. I was pulled from the Riverside shelter by TAP and I am so grateful for that! I have picked up bathroom manners, working on leash manners. I have separation  anxiety and current medications to help with separation anxiety include Trazodone (~$7.00), Gabapentin (~$13.00), Acepromazine as needed (~$25.00), and Prozac (~$5.00). Monthly cost depending on where purchased and market value.  I may look imposing at first glance, but once you get to know me, you'll see I'm the sweetest and most loveable companion you could ever ask for. I love affection, and snuggling up next to my humans is one of my favorite pastimes. I'm generally friendly with other dogs, but I might need a slow introduction to make sure we're all on the same page. When I'm inside the house, I sometimes get a bit anxious and bark at people passing by, but don't worry – once we're outside, I'll mostly be an observer, calmly taking in the world around me. I can show some leash reactivity though. With some patience, understanding, and positive reinforcement training, I'm sure I can overcome this behavior. I adore outdoor adventures and walks, but I can get a little distracted if there's too much going on around me. I find night walks with minimal distractions to be the best for me. That way, I can focus on our quality time together without getting overwhelmed by everything happening around us. One of my quirks is that I like to playfully bite ankles and wrists when I want to wake you up or just engage in some playtime. I promise it's all in good fun! But for this reason, a family with older kids or adults might be a better fit for me. I would absolutely love a fun-loving home with a yard! Having a safe and secure place to play and explore would make me one happy pup! I'm quite adaptable, so whether you lead an active lifestyle or prefer a more laid-back approach, I'll fit right in. Just as long as I get plenty of love and attention, I'll be content. So, are you ready to open your heart and home to a gentle giant like me? I guarantee that with a little understanding, patience, and love, I'll be the most loyal and loving companion you could ever wish for. Let's embark on this incredible journey together, creating unforgettable memories and forging an unbreakable bond. ##1733826##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Foster or Forever Home Wanted!!!  Meet Obi!!! Obi came to us a few years back, was a volunteer favorite and was quickly adopted.  Sadly his family situation has changed and Obi is back with us looking for a new home.  Obi is a sweet, easy going sort of guy with some leash skills, house training and friendly with people and dogs.  Given Obi’s BIG size he may not be the best fit for a home with small children. Obi is slightly overweight and is looking for an active family to help him get back to his summer beach body.  If an extra-large dog who thinks he’s a lap dog sounds like the right fit for your home, Email dogs@labradorsandfriends.org or fill out our online application at www.labradorsandfriends.org.  Obi is located in Southern California.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 1, 2024, 7:29 pm

Story
Harley is 8 and a very sweet and loving girl. If you’ll let her she will sleep all the live long day. She has only one issue. We rescued her from an extremely abusive pet owner 7 years ago and she unfortunately has PTSD because of it. She can’t be put on a leash (we’ve tried training) and she takes a moment to come out of her shell to trust people. She is good with all animals, children etc. She hasn’t so much as growled at anyone or anything. She does talk a little when she is super excited though. Harley would be best adopted to a family with at least one other dog.. not only does she enjoy the company but having a new bff will help her adjust to a new family.
