Meet Roxie – A Gentle Giant with a Heart of Gold Roxie is a 6-year-old Neapolitan Mastiff weighing 85 pounds, and she’s as sweet and affectionate as they come! This big, beautiful girl is friendly with people and other dogs—she even does wonderfully with little dogs, showing off her gentle and patient side. Roxie has a playful streak and absolutely loves her soft toys, especially her favorite fish toy, which she carries around proudly. While she enjoys moments of play, she’s also a calm, easygoing companion who’s just as happy lounging near her people and soaking up attention. With her kind heart, loving spirit, and adorable toy obsession, Roxie is ready to bring both joy and comfort to her forever family. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, and gentle companion, Roxie is waiting to meet you. ---------- Before being rescued, many of our dogs had limited socialization, so they may need some time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog's individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly.
