Story
Hi. I’m Barbosa, but you can call me Bosa. And before we get any further, there’s something you should know about me: I am approximately the size of a miniature horse. Do I know this? Absolutely not.I’m 95 pounds of big, goofy, energetic boy, but somewhere along the way, I apparently missed the memo about my actual dimensions. I will attempt to fit wherever I see an opening, happily lean my entire body against you, and firmly believe that personal space is wildly overrated.I love to roll around on any surface I can fit on—the couch, the bed, hardwood floors, carpet, grass…you name it. I’m basically a professional roller. And when I finally settle down, I have one favorite position: the sploot. My foster mom says it’s the best sploot she’s ever seen. I’m not sure how one becomes an accomplished splooter, but clearly I have natural talent. 😂I LOVE to play!I currently live with two female dogs, and I absolutely LOVE playing with them. They are my favorite playmates, although sometimes they apparently don't appreciate my enthusiasm as much as I think they should. Every once in a while, one of the girls will tell me, “Dude, enough.” I take their corrections well…mostly. The problem is that I don’t always understand that their correction means “please give me some space for a little while.” Instead, my brain sometimes says, “Great! Anyway…want to play again?!” So when I get really amped up, my humans help me out by redirecting me and giving me a few minutes to separate, decompress, and reset. I do well with this and am learning that sometimes taking a little break is exactly what I need. What kind of home am I looking for?Because I’m a very large and very enthusiastic boy who has absolutely no concept of how much space I take up, I would do best with older kids who I’m less likely to accidentally knock over. I’m not trying to cause chaos. I just get really excited! My ideal family will be active and ready for a big goofy guy who wants to play, explore, be part of the action, and continue learning. I’d love a family who understands that big dogs can sometimes need help managing their excitement and who will give me appropriate outlets for all my wonderful Bosa energy. In return, you’ll get a dog who will keep you laughing, make your couch significantly more crowded, introduce you to the glorious world of elite-level splooting, and probably remind you on a daily basis that 95 pounds is, in fact, a perfectly reasonable size for a lap dog.So, if your heart has room for a giant, goofy, playful, affectionate boy with the spatial awareness of a potato and the personality of a comedian, then maybe we should meet.I’m Bosa! I’m big! I’m ridiculously funny! I’m extremely lovable! And I’m looking for my forever family! ❤️Think you might be the family for me? I can't wait to meet you!Love, Bosa--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption.
