Story
Welcome Reesaw to CCPAL Rescue. She is an 18-month-old Great Dane mix dog. She weighs in at 102 pounds. She is good with other dogs and came in with an older Great Dane named Planter. Reesaw does pull on leash but we will be working with that. She is moderately active and would be fine with a moderately active family. She is a good balance between active and couch potato. She is good with people and will bond deeply with her person. Great Danes are typically a little shy and they warm up and bond deeply to their family. She does fit this characteristic. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Someone who has owned an XL dog or a Great Dane would be preferable. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 400 and transport is 180. Welcome Cheeto. He is a 8- month old Great Dane mix. He is 83 pounds right now and may be 100 pounds full grown. Cheeto is a great dog. He knows sit and shake a paw. He is decent on a leash. He loves treats and will sit when asked to with a treat. He loves the lady kennel workers. He is timid which is common in this breed but he is very friendly and affectionate. He would be great with someone that knows and understands this wonderful breed. He was found on the streets of Texas and was taken in by a good Samaritan. He can go with children. We like them to 8 or older. He would love to be a companion for the right family. He will love being a house dog and he is energetic but not for too much time and he settles down nicely. If you have a fenced back yard, he can get enough exercise exploring it. He could also go on walks. He does pull some but he really wants to do what you are asking so consistency with him will work wonders. He is currently neutered, vaccinated, healthy and ready for his forever home. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is $200. 💙 MEET DUKE💙 Duke is an 8-year-old purebred Great Dane rescued from California who just had recent vet care and is need of a foster home or potential adoptive home. This handsome senior boy has so much love to give and truly adores his people. He is affectionate, loyal, and happiest when he's by your side soaking up attention. Duke previously lived as a breeding dog and was not socialized with other dogs, so he will need a home where he can be the only pet. He simply does not enjoy the company of other dogs and will thrive best as the center of your world. But he does do well with cats or other animals. He is fully potty trained and lets you know when he needs to go out as well. He has been recently neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and thoroughly vetted. Duke is in excellent health for his age and even had a recent dental completed. He needs a foster or adoptive home where he can relax and enjoy your company.
