This beautiful 2-year-old spayed female Great Pyrenees is a calm, thoughtful companion looking for a knowledgeable, committed home to match her gentle nature. She responds well to verbal cues such as sit and shake a paw, is learning down, and takes treats politely, making her a pleasure to work with. She was in a foster home with some small dogs and older children, she really enjoys the company of another dog. Her ideal adopter will be committed to enrichment through a structured food program—including interactive feeders, hand-feeding for bonding, and positive trade-ups—and able to manage her high grooming needs with regular brushing. Cloud is a stunning Great Pyrenees with a soft, fluffy double coat. True to his breed, also known as a Pyrenean Mountain Dog, Cloud has a gentle and cozy exterior with a strong and protective inner nature. He’s not just calm and friendly—his gentleness comes from a deep-rooted confidence, as he believes in protecting those around him. Cloud has a sweet, peaceful personality, but don’t let that fool you. Beneath his calm demeanor, he has a firm sense of responsibility and determination to protect his surroundings. Though he’s a bit shy, you’ll quickly sense his trust and strength. Cloud is a high-energy dog, so he would thrive in a home with a large yard. He loves being active, playing, and running around. Daily outdoor activity is essential to keep him happy and healthy. He’s playful and enjoys both eating and having fun, showcasing his cheerful and innocent side. Despite his past, where he was abandoned at a shelter, Cloud is quick to warm up to new people. While he hasn't had much basic training yet, Cloud is highly intelligent, and positive reinforcement, such as treats, helps him learn quickly. He may pull on the leash during walks out of curiosity, but he’s improving with practice and guidance. Cloud is also great with other dogs, including smaller ones. He’s big in size but still exhibits the endearing behaviors of a puppy, which make him even more lovable. If you are interested in scheduling a meeting, please fill out the request form here: Adopt From Foster Form. Please do not make an appointment through our online booking calendar, as she is not available to meet on site.Meet the adorable Nellie! Nellie is a sweet soul who is still learning that the world can be a safe and happy place, but has made exceptional progress since arriving at the shelter in February. Not much is known about her past, and she found the shelter environment very frightening. Thankfully, she has been blossoming in her foster home, where her true personality is starting to shine.Nellie can be nervous in new places and around new people, but she has transformed into a completely different dog in foster care! Once she feels safe, she reveals her affectionate, silly side. She absolutely loves to cuddle with her foster family and is happiest snuggled up in bed with her foster mom while she reads.This active, goofy girl also has a playful side and forms strong bonds with the people she trusts. Nellie does great in her crate and gets along very well with the large dog in her foster home. She would likely benefit from having a confident canine companion in her forever home to help continue bringing her out of her shell!Because she is still building confidence, Nellie will need a patient home that can continue supporting her progress. Her experience with cats and children is unknown, so any interactions should be carefully supervised. For the right family, Nellie will be an incredibly loyal and loving companion.
