Story
This incredibly handsome boy is Oso. He is about to turn three years old and weighs 58 pounds. He is sweet, intelligent, and enjoys the company of his people, but is not overly needy. In fact, his favorite place to be is in his yard, watching birds fly by and the wind in the trees. He has done very well meeting confident, neutral dogs that give him the space he needs to feel safe. It is possible he could benefit from such a dog in the home as a mentor, as he likely missed out on some early socialization. He is also satisfied being the only dog, getting to focus on time spent playing and training with his human. After nearly a year working with Oso and getting to know his needs, his family recognizes that a home without children would be best. While guardian mix breeds can make wonderful family companions, sometimes his instincts result in unsafe guardian behavior toward kids. The behaviorist/trainer acquainted with Oso agrees that a home without children would be best.
