Meet JosephJoseph is a gentle giant with a soft heart and a big “smush” personality once he knows you. He can be a little nervous at first, but he warms up beautifully and quickly turns into a loving, affectionate cuddle buddy who really leans into his people.He is social with other dogs and has been doing much better with easygoing canine friends, even enjoying some gentle play. In more overwhelming group settings, he can still get a bit unsure, so he does best with calm, thoughtful introductions and steady, low-stress environments where he can feel comfortable.Once Joseph feels safe, his true personality shines—he’s sweet, affectionate, and loves being close to his people. He’s the kind of dog who just wants to belong and be part of the family.Joseph is looking for a home that will give him a little patience at first and a lot of love in return.

Are you loooking for a sweet ride or die? Look no further. Butch is a delightful friend and SO SMART!  Rescued from a tethered hell. Butch languished for months on a cable tether. He was not fed well and he was taunted... treated like a vicious beast. He was frustated and anxious. Afraid and alone. Within moments of meeting him, we saw something different. We spent time sitting on the stoop, tossing him bits of our lunch. Eventually he settled enough to start catching the bits we tossed him. We then asked him to sit. And HE DID.  How were we to believe this was a bad dog? He is a good dog that has been treated badly. We have had him for a couple weeks now and he is a new man. He is a big sweet, intelligent goof ball. He has started playing and loves to go for truck rides. He uses his nose to move your hand if he needs something. He is just amazing. He is not a purebred Golden retriever but he is SO GOLDEN! He is not recommended around small children, small animals or other dogs. He is intitailly distrusting of strangers but warms up to kindness quickly.  He weighed 75 pounds when rescued and was VERY thin! He will likelt be a 100 pound dog when he is fully filled out! We have videos on our facebook that share the progression of his rescue.
