HOW TO ADOPT: This dog is available for adoption by appointment. To schedule a time to meet this dog, please email meetme@arl-iowa.org.---- The biggest goofball who will flop down anywhere to chill or snooze - A great mix of puppy energy and easygoing dude - Thinks he's a lap dog and loves to be close and cuddle- Loves chew toys like cow hooves and Nylabones, and will toss stuffed toys in the air and bunny-hop pounce on them; does well at sharing toys, but can be a toy thief sometimes- Knows sit and stay and walks nicely on a leash; rides well in a kennel in the car- Loves going on adventures; however, he likes to wander at his own pace and can be a bit stubborn if he doesn't want to go somewhere- Has a start on potty training in his foster home and will need some help from his new family to get to 100% there - Has lived with children and done well with them - LOVES having dog friends and has been doing great with the dogs in his foster home; loves to play and does best with dog pals who can match his energy - Needs a home with no cats - Tested heartworm positive and has received a full course of treatment here at the ARL; will receive a free recheck at the ARL in a few months to make sure he's in the clear (more info at ARL) The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. Primary Color: Black Weight: 55 Age: 1yrs 1mths 0wks

I'm Mila, a stunning 2-year-old Pyrenees-German Shepherd mix with a gorgeous fawn and golden tricolor coat 🐕. Already spayed and crate trained, I'm ready to become part of your active family — I thrive on exercise and adventure, and I do wonderfully with children and other dogs! I'm affectionate, playful, and smart, so you'll find me equally happy joining you on a hike or snuggling up at home ❤️. I've completed my heartworm treatment and I'm in great health, so let's get started on our next chapter together!! Local adoption fee is $300 (in TX ) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Tug!! Tug me a boat, please :) i will be your Tug Boat Captain!! Get on the boat and we will float along together! I am Tug and guess what??? I am available too! I have the biggest fuzzy hugs you will ever know! I am a big hairy dog and I love my people and your people and their people... I LOVE everyone!! I have even been hanging around a rehab facility with elderly patrons, i am a natural with them! I am focused on hugging and loving them and I am super gentle. You must be a happy and love big hairy lover boys and adopt me!! I am waiting...... oh yes, no one really knows what happened to my head :( I was found with a big oweeee on my head, but the rescue people say it gives me "character" and find it hard to understand how much I love people still...
