Story
Meet Xolo! Breed: Norfolk Terrier Mix Birthday: 10/28/2025 age: 3 years old Weight: 17 Pounds Health: Healthy, vaccinated, and neutered — though he’s in great shape, please schedule a visit with your own vet soon after adoption to establish care and keep him feeling his best! Personality Xolo is a joyful little gentleman with a heart that just wants to belong. He has that classic Terrier sparkle — smart, affectionate, and always ready for a bit of fun. Whether he’s exploring the yard, curling up for movie night, or greeting you at the door with his happy tail, Xolo radiates love. He’s loyal to his people and has that perfect balance of spunk and sweetness that makes him the kind of dog who just fits right in. Breed Info Norfolk Terriers are small but mighty! They’re known for their spirited energy, courage, and affectionate nature. A Norfolk mix like Xolo typically weighs around 12–16 pounds and thrives in homes that give both playtime and cuddles. They’re alert, smart, and make wonderful companions for active or relaxed families alike. Owner Responsibilities Provide daily walks, stimulation, and playtime to satisfy his terrier instincts. Offer love, structure, and consistency — he’s happiest with routine and gentle guidance. Keep up with regular vet care, heartworm prevention, grooming, and nutrition. Be patient and understanding as he adjusts to a new rhythm of life. Things to Consider Before adopting, think about: Do you have time for daily attention, affection, and exercise? Is your landlord pet-friendly and does your home allow dogs? Are you prepared for the lifelong costs of vet care, grooming, and food? Do you plan to stay in a stable home and routine for years to come? Every dog needs patience — especially rescues who may need time to trust again. The 3-3-3 Rule First 3 days: Everything feels new. Xolo will need space, comfort, and calm reassurance. First 3 weeks: He’ll start learning your home, your schedule, and your heart. First 3 months: Trust blossoms, and he’ll know he’s truly home — safe, loved, and understood. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Commitment for Life Adopting Xolo means promising to be his forever family — through every season, every adventure, and every wag of his tail. Why Xolo Would Be a Great Addition Xolo is the kind of dog who fills every quiet corner of your home with love and laughter. He’s small enough to snuggle in your arms but big enough in heart to make every day brighter. Loyal, affectionate, and endlessly loving, Xolo is ready to bring joy and warmth into the life of whoever is lucky enough to call him theirs. PLEASE READ ENTIRE POST BEFORE INQUIRING AND PLEASE REFRAIN FROM REACHING OUT UNLESS YOU ARE READY TO COMMIT THESE ANIMALS DESERVE SOMEONE READY TO COMMIT TO THEM! Text or email for direct contact with rescuer located in Palmdale approved for same-day adoption (661)609-2186 memeco635@gmail.com Hello everyone, my name is Bella. Get the tissues ready because my story is a little tragic. I was homeless wandering the streets of Skid Row hoping to find a food drive where I could snag a couple treats from the vendors feeding the homeless when a homeless man’s German Shepherd attacked me out of nowhere! People were standing around yelling when a pitbull came and joined in on attacking me! After what felt like forever they were able to separate both dogs and pick me up but I was limp in shock, fearing I was already dead due to the amount of blood everywhere and my jaw barely hanging off my face I was rushed to an emergency vet who then transported me to Palmdale where I met my rescuer. My jaw was completely broken, and it had to be surgically reattached and wired shut, the person who transported me all the way to Palmdale wasn’t able to get the funds together to handle my surgery so my rescuer stepped in to help. They told her there was a very high chance that I wouldn’t survive the surgery and I would die on the table because I lost so much blood and I wasn’t responsive due to the shock and pain I was clearly in, but if they were determined to fight for me, I was determined to fight as well and I pulled through! I spent the next few weeks having a very difficult time, eating and drinking, and had to be fed with the syringe because I had tubes coming out of my neck and my jaw. My rescuer was determined to help me pull through, and after all the pain medication antibiotic‘s and vet visits I was cleared and I couldn’t stop smiling! I made a full recovery and my favorite thing to do now is follow my rescuer around her house and join in when she has a little dance breaks. I still get skittish around large dogs, but I’m very friendly and I haven’t shown Any signs of aggression because I do want to build bonds with other dogs, cats and children. I am very sweet however I am currently being called a Velcro dog because I want to be around people all the time. I am still on a soft food diet, even though my most severe injuries are healed, but I will have to be weaned into hard kibble overtime so for now I am enjoying wet food and shredded chicken with white rice with soft boiled veggies, and the occasional scrambled egg. My rescuer thinks it’s time for me to find a family of my own. I am very quiet and always wanting to cuddle. I would be a great addition to any family dynamic as I acclimate without issue. I have a very easy-going personality. I have no bad habits I just want love. I may have had a rough start, but I know my future involves a very loving family, a nice warm couch and a yard where I can play and soak in the sun. if you think I sound like the perfect match for your family please contact my rescuer with the information listed above my story to schedule a time to meet with me. I am approved for same-day adoption, and I guarantee you will fall in love with my smile. I really hope to find my forever family soon but until then I look forward to meeting you!
