Story
Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure Lady Didimus finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours  (please check your spam folder for our emails) .   Lady Didimus | 5-year-old Yorkie/Papillon Mix | A tiny shadow who lives for cuddles Lady Didimus is a petite, affectionate little girl who bonds deeply with her person and wants nothing more than to be by your side. At 8 pounds, she may be small, but her love is mighty. She is reliably housetrained and clearly communicates when she needs to go out by standing at the door, scratching, and pacing nearby, though adopters should be aware that, as with many dogs, some regression in house training can occur as she adjusts to a new environment. She does wonderfully on leash and enjoys calm, pleasant walks, though she may zig-zag a bit if given extra leash length. Lady Didimus does well being left alone for short periods (3–4 hours) and settles quickly, though she may bark briefly when her people first leave. She is crate trained, sleeps through the night, and is generally a quiet, easy companion. During the day, she’s happiest curled up at your feet while you work or snuggled close on the couch—personal space is not her strong suit, and she wouldn’t have it any other way. She is shy at first but warms up quickly and becomes incredibly affectionate once she feels safe. She loves hugs, kisses, belly rubs, and following her person everywhere. While she coexists well with larger dogs, she prefers human companionship over play and appreciates having her space respected. Because of this, she would do best in a calm, adult-only home or one without young children. She enjoys toys, car rides, walks, and tasty treats (especially chicken jerky). She knows “come” and “no,” is learning “sit,” and has some adorable tricks like “hug hug,” where she jumps into your arms, and “kiss.” After being found living under a carport and experiencing stress in the shelter, Lady Didimus has blossomed in foster care into a sweet, devoted companion. She’s gaining weight, building confidence, and is ready to find a peaceful, loving home where she can stay close to her person and soak up all the affection she’s been waiting for. Click here to see more photos of Lady Didimus!   If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $500. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.  Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking  here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email dogs@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can't accept calls. PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member! Story
We’re not exaggerating when we say that Yasha is the sweetest pup you’ll ever meet! She is a 4 month old Papillon mix whose little body is full of love and happiness.  From the moment she arrived at her foster family’s home, she has been nothing but a delight; she likes to snuggle, she is playful with other dogs, great with kids and happy to be in her crate.  Her body is tiny but her ears, like her heart, are very big. We think she is waiting to hear the words “you’ve found your forever home”. Will you be the one to say those words to her?  Adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter Rabies Vaccination Distemper / Parvo Vaccines (includes series of 3 for puppies) Bordetella Microchip with prepaid lifetime registration Deworming ##2151193##

Story
Perry has the face of a Corgi, the tail, ears, and bounce of a Papillion, and the coat and shape of a mini Aussie. Perry is a sweet gentle soul who wants nothing more than the love and company of his human. He came into a KS shelter as an owner surrender due to a move. His coat was full of mats so he got a budget haircut (shaved heinie) at the shelter but when it grows in, he’ll require regular professional grooming. He’s a little hand shy so will do best in a quieter home with at least one female caregiver. Perry loves going for rides and walks, is potty trained, and can leap a gate/fence so he can never be left outside when his humans leave. He tolerates the crate for short periods (gets barky when his crate patience expires) and likes to sleep near his human preferably on the big bed. He’s approx 2.5 y/o, 20# (could stand to lose a couple pounds), and dog friendly (calmer dogs would be a better fit), although he hasn’t really engaged in play with other dogs, he prefers humans. He has not been tested with cats or kids and due to his shy yet bouncy and slightly mouthy nature, respectful kids 10+ may be considered. Perry will do best with active humans who work from home or are retired. He will be your ride or die shadow and requires a good lap during down time. If you are interested in meeting Perry, the first step is to complete our meet and greet application at  https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms  We require the application, home and reference check, and meet with everyone in the home. Perry is neutered, utd on vaccs, chipped, and HW-. Perry’s adoption fee is $375 and we do not adopt outside of Colorado.  December 26, 2025, 10:08 am
