Story
Grace was surrendered to a shelter with her housemate Rocky. Both were scheduled to be euthanized within the week due to fear/anxiety/stress within the shelter. Pulled by this rescue on their scheduled D-Day, Grace had pneumonia and obvious ongoing malnutrition. Once out of the shelter environment she began to open up to her foster Mom. Pneumonia was treated, she was able to get spayed, and now she is a zig zag wiggleworm of excitement! She is silly, fun, playful, happy, fetches, wrestles, and gives kisses! You have to earn her trust before she comes to you, but that is a fair ask! Currently working on potty training and getting more weight on her and leash training. Goal will be about 25#. She will excel in a home with a fenced yard, daily exercise (she has plenty of energy now!) and people who understand her wariness of anything/anyone. She is an absolute doll that will melt your heart. She takes treats from yiur hands like a sneaky raccoon… slowly and carefully, then runs off to eat them! Story
Meet Pumpkin! This sweet little lady was surrendered to a shelter with a request for euthanasia, not because she was ready to die, but because her human’s health was failing and there was nowhere else for her to land. Fortunately Pumpkin made her way to us, but she arrived carrying the quiet weight of long-neglected illness. Her eyes were infected and diseased, her mouth ravaged by severe dental disease, and her body fighting bacterial cystitis. Layered over everything else, she received a new diagnosis of diabetes - a condition that demands consistency, monitoring, and care. None of this happened overnight. This is what happens slowly, when medical needs outpace resources, and a small senior dog is left to endure more than she ever should. Despite all of this, Pumpkin is a sweet, tolerant girl who loves snuggles and belly rubs above all else. Well, maybe not above food - she LOVES eating and has a sassy bark she deploys to make sure dinner is served exactly on time and humans dispense the proper amount of treats throughout the day. Even though she's mostly blind, she loves exploring her foster mom's yard and has no problem navigating it. Pumpkin is approximately 12 years old and 5 lbs. Summer is a petite 1-year-old Spitz/Papillon mix weighing about 15 pounds, and this sweet girl has a personality as bright as her name! With her adorable white-and-tan coat and curious, affectionate nature, Summer is ready to find the loving home she deserves. Summer had a very difficult beginning. She was found tied outside, likely after her previous family left the country. It was the beginning of summer, with temperatures reaching nearly 113F, and she had been left tied to a pole in the hot sun. Thankfully, she was rescue, and once she was safe, her wonderful personality began to shine. Today, Summer is a happy, loving girl who enjoys being with her people, exploring her surroundings, running around, and, of course, accepting plenty of tasty treats! She has a medium-to-high energy level and would enjoy a family who will give her opportunities for walks, playtime, and adventures while also appreciating her affectionate side. Summer is: * Good with other dogs * Good with children * Good with cats * Crate trained * Walks on leash * Rides well in the car * Comfortable being handled and touched * Not food aggressive * Not destructive Summer is flexible when it comes to her future home. She can live with or without another dog, with or without a yard, and could even do well in an apartment with the right family and enough daily exercise and enrichment. She does tend to bark when she hears bells or ringing sounds, so her future family should be prepared for that little quirk. Most of all, Summer wants what every dog deserves: a family who will keep her safe, include her in their lives, and love her for the sweet, curious little girl she is. Meet This Tiny Little Firecracker! She may be tiny, but she has NO idea she’s tiny! This playful little girl is full of personality, confidence, and plenty of things to say. She’s a bit of a talkative girl, but that comes with her adorable, larger-than-life personality. She loves being held and is happiest when she can be close to her people. She’s also surprisingly courageous—she has absolutely no problem standing up to those BIG birds like she’s the neighborhood security guard! She’s excellent with other dogs and wonderful with children. She does like to chase cats, so a home with cats may not be the best fit unless introductions show otherwise. She is crate trained, walks well on a leash, and is currently working on her potty training. We estimate she’s somewhere around 3 months old. Tiny body. BIG personality. Tons of love. If you’re looking for a little companion who will keep you laughing, keep you company, and happily climb into your arms, this tiny girl may be your perfect match! Local adoption fee is $350(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $650 (includes transport to your area)
