Meet Kelsey, a gentle and quiet soul who is looking for her forever couch! This lovely lady is friendly and loyal, and will be a wonderful addition to any family. With a calm and collected nature, Kelsey is the perfect companion for those seeking a relaxed and loving home. Kelsey is an easy-going girl who will bring a peaceful presence to your home. Come and meet this beautiful dog today and give her the loving home she deserves! She does well in her foster home with the other dogs. Basics: She is a 5 yr old spayed female that weighs close to 10lbs. She is currently in a foster home in Kansas City, MO with a 7 yr old boy and 5 other small dogs. Adoption Process: - Please fill out our adoption application: https://www.dayofthedogs.org/adoption-application - One of our team members will get back to you via phone. - Our dogs can be seen by appointment only. We do not have a facility at this time. Dogs are in foster homes or boarding - Adoption fee helps to cover transport costs, spay/neuter, initial vaccines, rabies, fecal, initial worming, and microchip. -We do not place holds on our dogs. Please do not contact us until you are prepared to adopt. NOTE: We are very good about updating the pet's profiles once adopted. So no need to write us to ask "Is he/she still available?" If the post is up, the dog is still available. About Us: Day of the Dogs is a 501c3 nonprofit. Since 2015 we have been dedicated to helping shelters increase live release. We coordinate 2 - 4 transports per month from TX, OK and AR to NW Indiana/Chicagoland and the Kansas City area. We do direct adoptions ourselves out of Kansas City and NW Indiana areas. We also partner with other rescues and shelters in IN, IL, KS and MO that are willing to help southern pets in need. We rely on donations to help fund our ongoing transports. How do you write a bio about a dog that is perfect?! We are going to try! Tucker is nine years old, but you wouldn't know it! He runs and plays and likes to take long walks. He plays with the small dog in his foster home, and pretty much ignores the big scary dog! He absolutely adores the two year-old little boy in his foster home. He spent a couple of days in a temporary foster home with cats, and did great. Tucker is house trained, crate, trained, walks beautifully on a leash, well, to be honest, when he gets excited, he will pull a little! He loves to meet people and never met a stranger. This boy is the real deal. Tucker's previous owner, got him as a puppy, but due to changing circumstances in her life, she could no longer keep him. He deserves a true forever home. Adopting him would be the best decision anyone has ever made!

This darling boy will snuggle his way into your heart. With his soulful, sweet gaze,this incredibly patient and loving boy waits for a forever home. He is about 9 years old, and enjoys time on the couch and on laps. He prefers snuggles to playtime, but has shown interest in toys and chewy bones. He is house trained, kennel trained, non destructive, and walks calmly on a leash. He is good with other dogs, people, and cats. Dax's passion for snuggling knows no bounds, so his person will have to be willing to engage in a lot of hugs and pets. His calm disposition makes for an ideal friend and companion.  Approximate Birthdate:   July 2016 Adoption Fee: $200 TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming.  TARA's pets are all eligible for a TWO WEEK TRIAL.
