You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Dan – A Gentle Soul with a Heart of Gold. Dan is an exceptionally gentle Chinese Crested Powder Puff, born on 07/24/2020 and weighing just 6.5 pounds. He has the softest, most luxurious fur and the sweetest disposition you can imagine. Sadly, Dan and his family were left behind when their owners moved away. A kind family member brought them to the rescue, giving Dan a second chance at happiness. Because of his past, he may be shy at first, but with a little patience (and a few tasty treats!), he’ll soon reveal his loving and loyal nature. Dan thrives in a calm environment and would do best with a quiet family who can give him the time he needs to build trust. He absolutely adores other dogs and would love a confident canine companion to help show him the ropes and make him feel secure. If you’re looking for a tender-hearted pup who just needs someone to believe in him, Dan is your guy. Give him a safe place to land, and he’ll give you a lifetime of love and gratitude in return. You can apply for Dan at www.adoggie4you.org.  HIs adoption fee is $400.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 17, 2025, 3:28 pm

Story
Milo is a 5-year-old, 22 lb tri-color Cavalier King Charles Spaniel with the softest fur you will ever touch—truly cloud-level softness. This gentle boy was rescued from a puppy mill and is now learning how safe and cozy life can be. Milo’s favorite place is the couch, where he happily serves as the household “snooperviser,” quietly observing everything that goes on. He adores fluffy dog beds, loves chicken treats, and—despite popular dog opinion—strongly dislikes peanut butter. Because of his background, Milo does best in a quiet, calm home where he can feel secure and relaxed. He’s a sweet, sensitive soul who thrives on gentle affection, pets, and simply being near his people. A home that welcomes him on the furniture is a must—couch cuddles are his specialty. Milo is currently not fostered with other animals, but he has been introduced to another dog and is quite happy to have a friend of similar size. He is working diligently on his potty training and continues to make progress, but he will need a consistent routine and a patient, understanding family to help him succeed. Milo has progressed with his leash training and loves walking on a leash. Milo is looking for a loving forever family who will offer him peace, patience, and plenty of pets. In return, he promises unwavering devotion, unmatched softness, and the very best couch companionship. Milo is currently fostered in Cincinnati, OH. His adoption fee is $450.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
