From the moment she arrived in her foster home, she was all tail wags and confidence, happily settling in as if she had always belonged there. She is truly one of those rare dogs who makes herself right at home immediately and then fills that home with warmth, affection, and constant companionship.   Daily Life & Routine Soda Pup sleeps quietly through the night in a cozy bed inside an X-pen at the foot of the bed. Mornings start around 8 a.m. with a quick potty break outside, followed by breakfast. She’s a bit of a dainty eater and prefers to listen to her body— sometimes she eats a full meal, sometimes just a little, and occasionally she skips breakfast altogether. After that, she happily follows her people around while they get ready for the day before settling in to lounge nearby. She enjoys being part of whatever is happening without demanding attention every second. She goes out for regular potty breaks every few hours and has had zero accidents in her foster home. Dinner is around 6:30 p.m., followed by a final potty break around 11 p.m. before bedtime.   Personality & Affection Level If cuddling were an Olympic sport, Soda Pup would take the gold. She is an elite-level snuggler who believes there is no such thing as “too close.” She loves being pressed up against her people, curled in a lap, or resting her head on your chest so she can look at you nose-to-nose. That said, she’s not demanding or overwhelming— she’s equally content to nap in a cozy spot on the couch while her humans are busy in another room. She’s the perfect blend of velcro dog and independent lounger.   One of her signature moves is gently but persistently shoving her cold, wet nose under your hand if you dare stop petting her. Her tail wag is also a full-body experience— her whole backside wiggles with happiness.   Energy & Playfulness Soda Pup is mostly a couch potato with delightful bursts of playfulness. She loves walks and does adorable spins when she sees the leash come out. Inside, she can get very playful just from excited conversation and has recently started picking up toys and proudly carrying them around. Her current favorite is a small cat toy that makes bird noises, which she treats like a prized possession.   Leash Skills & Walks She’s a great little walker who does not pull and is easy to handle on leash. She doesn’t seem interested in chasing squirrels. When other dogs are at a distance, she’s generally calm, though face-to-face leash greetings can be hit or miss— sometimes friendly, sometimes barky—so slow, thoughtful introductions are best.   Dogs, Cats & Boundaries Soda Pup has been absolutely wonderful with her foster’s cat. She happily wags her tail when she sees her feline friend, tolerates being sniffed while sleeping, and doesn’t react even if the cat gives her an occasional swat. Her cat manners are truly impressive.   With dogs, Soda Pup is selective. She coexisted well with another foster dog she already knew and was comfortable asserting herself if he got too pushy. She has also shown that she will not tolerate being bullied by other dogs and does not back down if she feels challenged. Because of this, she may do well with another respectful, well-matched dog after a thoughtful adjustment period, or she may be perfectly happy as an only dog soaking up all the attention.   Handling & Communication Soda Pup is incredibly sweet and affectionate, but she does communicate her boundaries. On a few occasions, she has given a very gentle nip when being picked up unexpectedly or when she didn’t want to move. These moments were not aggressive, just her way of saying “no thank you.” She happily allows handling in many situations and is extremely loving, but she will do best with people who are attentive to dog body language and respectful of her signals.   Training & Alone Time She is fully housetrained and has been crated when left alone. While she sometimes settles and naps quietly, she often vocalizes when her people leave. With patience, consistency, and time, this is something she may continue to improve on. At night, she transitioned easily from a crate to sleeping in an X-pen, and she has recently started hopping onto the bed at bedtime to see if she might be invited to sleep even closer— spoiler alert: she would absolutely love to share a bed with her future family.   Why Soda Pup? If you’re searching for unconditional love in a small, snuggly package, Soda Pup is your girl. She’s a living, breathing heating pad, a professional hand-enforcer (petting must continue at all times), and a joyful little soul who wants nothing more than to be close to her people. Soda Pup isn’t just a dog— you adopt her, and you gain a devoted best friend for life.December 21, 2025, 9:53 pm

And all that Jazz! This spunky little Parson Russell Terrier mix truly lives up to her adorable name. She’s a joyful bundle of energy who comes rushing in with kisses and cuddles, eager to share her love. It’s clear she was cherished in her previous home, and that same happy, affectionate spirit shines through in everything she does. Darling Jazz is spayed, vaccinated, and ready for a fresh start in a wonderful new chapter of her life. She’s comfortable with other dogs and would happily fit into a multi-dog household. Friendly with everyone she meets, Jazz has a sweet, sassy personality and a big heart—sometimes showing it with an enthusiastic smooch or two! What Jazz wants most is to be part of a family again. She would thrive with a single adopter, a couple, or a family with older kids who can match her lively, loving nature. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Spunk is a COMPLETE sweetheart. He can be shy at first when he first meets people and may yield a  submissive wee.  Once he realizes you are safe, all he wants to do is love you and give you kisses. H e loves scritches and pets. When he’s comfortable, he will follow you around and lie against you. He wants as much attention as he can get, but on his terms.  Energy Level? Low/Medium House trained?  Yes. Just watch him closely the first few days. In a new place, he will want to mark. Once he is comfortable and feels safe, the marking went away completely.   Describe how they are on a leash?  We are still working on leash training. At first, he did the alligator roll when he felt the slightest tug on the leash, but after just a few days, he no longer does this, and will walk well short distances. It will take no time at all for him to be comfortable going on long walks. He loves to be outside! Describe how they are with other dogs? Spunk is a happy-go-lucky pup and loves to hang out with and initiate play with other dogs.  If a dog shows that he/she is not interested, then  Spunk  just walks away politely. Have they been around cats or other animals? How were they? NA Commands they know? Sit What are their favorite things? Being by their person. Food motivated What do they need to work on? Submissive peeing, being handled.  Walking on a leash for longer periods of time. He is also very shy around new people, so you need to go slow until trust is established. How are they when left alone? How long have they been left alone? Spunk is fine being left alone. He has been left alone for about 5-6 hrs. Where do they sleep? In a crate or on a dog bed What is their ideal home?  Spunk would do well in any home with or without other dog(s).  He would prefer to be in a house with someone around most of the time, but I think he would be able to adjust to a full-time working family, too.  Spunk may need a bit of time to adjust. He prefers a calm environment. October 19, 2025, 3:41 am
