Story
Meet Lucky, a sweet and spunky ~3 year old neutered male rat terrier mix/Jack Russell terrier mix, weighing about 15lbs.  Lucky is a friendly, loving boy who gets along well with other dogs, people, and kids. He likes cats but he does chase them, so a cat free home (or one with dog savvy cats) would probably be best for him. He would also LOVE a fenced in yard of his own, as he loves to run and get his zoomies out!  From Lucky: "My name is Lucky, my foster mom calls me Loki and I answer to both. I am a Rat Terrier/Jack Russell  mix and I have energy to spare so if you have a fenced in yard I am the pup for you. I am very loving, affectionate and a happy boy.  If you let me, I can be your lap pup. I love to love you and crave your attention. I’m good with other pups and will play with them but I would like a buddy that’s bigger than me or I can be your only one and will enjoy every minute you give me. I love to go for walks and I get excited when you get my leash. I am potty trained and do best on a regular schedule. When I get over stimulated by my foster mom’s little rascals, I will chill in another room  in my bed. I am looking for my human  that will spend some quality time with me and if you feel that you are the one please apply!" Lucky is medically up to date, crate trained, and mostly housebroken (he does great with a routine, occasional accidents when not kept on a routine). Apply to meet this special boy today!  Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2313572##

Story
Meet Mahogany aka Maggie, a sweet and shy ~2 -3 year old spayed female small terrier mix, weighing about 15 lbs! Maggie was rescued from a hoarding/neglect case in Kentucky along with the other Tree pups (Magnolia, Pine, Sycamore, etc.). She is currently being fostered in CT and is ready to find her furever home!  Maggie is a shy/nevous girl who takes some time to trust and warm up to new people. She wants so badly to connect with people, but she is scared and unsure. Once she knows you are safe, she is a sweet girl. She is looking for someone who will be patient with her and give her a little time and space to come to them on her own terms. She is worth the wait!   Maggie is good with other dogs, people, and older kids 8+ who know to respect a dog's space (due to her nervous/timid nature). She has not been cat tested, but we feel she would likely be fine with cats.  She is medically up to date, housebroken (expect accidents the first few days while acclimating to a new environment/routine), and crate trained. Apply to meet this special girl today!  Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. Story
Meet Kangaroo, an adult (approx. 4 years old) female Jack Russell mix, weighing about 25 lbs!  Kangaroo is currently in TN and is expected to arrive in CT on 2/21. We are accepting applications on her now!  Kangaroo is a sweet girl who loves her people. She has done well with the other dogs in her TN foster home. She has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how she would do with cats. She is medically up to date, peepad trained currently because her puppies have been recently weaned. Should be easily housetrained if on a routine. She doesn't currently like to be crated but loves to just lay around! Apply to meet this special pup today!
