Meet Lucky, a sweet and spunky ~3 year old neutered male rat terrier mix/Jack Russell terrier mix, weighing about 15lbs. Lucky is a friendly, loving boy who gets along well with other dogs, people, and kids. He likes cats but he does chase them, so a cat free home (or one with dog savvy cats) would probably be best for him. He would also LOVE a fenced in yard of his own, as he loves to run and get his zoomies out! Lucky can do a 1 week foster to adopt trial with an approved adopter so you can see how he settles in before committing to adoption. From Lucky: "My name is Lucky, my foster mom calls me Loki and I answer to both. I am a Rat Terrier/Jack Russell mix and I have energy to spare so if you have a fenced in yard I am the pup for you. I am very loving, affectionate and a happy boy. If you let me, I can be your lap pup. I love to love you and crave your attention. I’m good with other pups and will play with them but I would like a buddy that’s bigger than me or I can be your only one and will enjoy every minute you give me. I love to go for walks and I get excited when you get my leash. I am potty trained and do best on a regular schedule. When I get over stimulated by my foster mom’s little rascals, I will chill in another room in my bed. I am looking for my human that will spend some quality time with me and if you feel that you are the one please apply!" Dharma is pretty as a picture and like most Terriers, she is happy, spunky, active, independent, good natured and lots of fun! She seems to love everybody and she loves the outdoors, so I think she would make a terrific walking or hiking partner. She was actually found at the grocery store visiting with everyone in the parking lot and entering the store through the automatic doors lol. She does fine with other dogs, but no cats! My wish for Dharma is to be adopted by a fun and active family that will include her in their everyday comings and goings. Dharma is 1 ½ years old (dob 7/27/24) and is a great size at 26 pounds. She has been spayed, microchipped, 4DX heartworm tested, fecal tested, current on all vaccinations, worming and is on heartworm and flea prevention. Her adoption fee is $400. Dharma is being fostered in Tennessee. Once adopted she will be transported to her pickup location by a professional dog transport company. Our rescue ships to the New England area every week and her fee includes transportation.
