There you have it! I was living alone in the pound and being a smart and sensitive Jack Russel boy and I was totally shut down.... I didn't want to trust anyone and the loud pound, filled with scared animals who are desperate to get out alive......... and I was one of them. So I was SO SO SO LUCKY, one of the rescue ladies happened to stop by to see ME!! She heard about my predicament being so scared and untrusting.... and she decided to give ME a chance!! NOW I am living the good "foster" life ;) I have lots of friends to hang with and other than the cats I am LOVING my "foster" life :) I am ready for my very own family, I am smart and sweet and may take a day or so to settle in but it will happen and then after that.... you will fall hard for my sweet and CUDDLY personality. ADOPT ME SOON!! I am ready for you! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Silly DAIZY is a fun and affectionate rat terrier-type mixed breed girl looking for a home. She is bouncy, and playful and loves getting attention from her people. She loves treats and cuddles when playtime is over. Daizy is about 2 years old and fully grown at just 22 pounds. If you'd like to meet Daizy, please fill out a dod adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Daizy at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate. Our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Story
LORELAI GILMORE is a stunning scruffy young dog looking for a home. She is a timid girl, our best guess is a Jack Russell Terrier-type mix, about 11 months old and fully grown at 24 pounds. She's a beautiful girl who literally wears her heart on her hip. Lorelai loves her doggie friends. She's good with older, dog-savvy kids and kitties. She prefers women over men. Lorelai needs a home with a dog-experienced adopter who will take the time needed to earn her trust. She must have a confident, playful dog sibling and is best suited to a home with a physically-fenced yard. She's housebroken, crate trained and walks well on a leash.   Lorelai and her sister Rory were found dumped in the woods earlier this year. Both girls were adopted a few months ago but Lorelai Gilmore was recently returned due to a change in family circumstances. Lorelai prefers women and is best suited to a quiet home where there won't be lots of strangers coming and going. Little Miss MAYA is the perfect blend of sweet, silly and sassy. She's a 3 year old 17 pound mixed breed girl. Our best guess is a Rat Terrier/Jack Russell Terrier-type mix. So a RatJack? JackRat? She's an affectionate girl who gets all wiggly when she sees her favorite people. She loves cuddle time and belly rubs. Maya loves to fetch and is also happy to amuse herself with her toys and chewys. She's happiest with her people and would love to be someone's trusted best friend and sidekick. If you adopt Maya, you can rest assured you will never need to be lonely in the bathroom again. Maya is best suited to a quiet home where there aren't a lot of scary strangers coming and going. She has the Type A personality one expects from terriers so she does need the occasional reminder that she is not the queen of the castle. She's an obedient little girl but without good leadership she may attempt to stage a coup and take over the household. Maya is ideally suited to a home with an experienced pet parent who knows what to expect from small terrier/chihuahua-type breeds. Maya is housebroken and crate trained.
