Story
Silly DAIZY is a fun and affectionate little mixed breed girl looking for a home. Our best guess on breed is a rat terrier/Jack Russell Terrier-type mix, maybe with a little Min Pin as well? Daizy is bouncy, playful and energetic. She loves people and craves affection. Daizy needs an active lifestyle, she must go to a home with another dog who loves to run and play. Daizy would also be a great agility dog, she's athletic and smart. When playtime is over Daizy loves treats and cuddles. Daizy is about 2 years old and fully grown at just 22 pounds. If you'd like to meet Daizy, please fill out a dod adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Daizy at our weekly adoption event, Saturday 11:30am-1:30pm at PetSmart Eastgate. Our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 10, 2026, 10:31 pm

Story
Name:  Daisy Age: Spunky Senior Weight: 14 lbs Adoption Fee: $250.00 Good with Dogs?  Yes, but bossy so she’d be best as an only dog.  Good with cats?  She can be bossy with them so it’s best she doesn’t live with them. She can be around them safely for short visits.    Miss Daisy aka Daisy Dukes or Dukes, is  looking for her forever home.    She’s a spunky senior Rat Terrier with lots of life and  love left to give. Daisy loves people and she’d be a  perfect fit for someone who is retired but still active, or someone who works from home, enjoys daily walks  and would like to have a companion to join them. If  she gets to be a lap dog, even better. In a perfect  world, she’ll be showered with all of the attention and  not have to share it with other pets.    She is crate trained but, in all honesty, she doesn’t  love it. Daisy is fine being left loose in the home when  no one is there but she’s currently crated in her foster  home as she does tend to be a little bossy with the  other dogs at times.    Daisy likes meeting new people and enjoys car rides,  so if you like to go camping or travel around in an RV,  she’d be a great companion for you.    While she is an older girl, you wouldn’t know it by the  way she acts. She’s had a senior blood panel done  (she looks great!), a dental, she’s spayed, vaccinated, heartworm tested  and micro chipped.    Don’t miss out on a wonderful new companion and get  your applications in now.    Adoption Process: Step 1:     Complete a "no obligation" application located on our website at pawprintsnky.com under the applications tab. Step 2:     PawPrints will review the application, verifying Vet and personal references as well as landlord requirements/restrictions (if applicable) Step 3:     IF your application is approved, we will call you to schedule a meet and greet for you to meet the pet. &#226&#128&#139Step 4:    If the meet and greet goes well, we will schedule the home visit.          November 14, 2024, 10:20 am

Story
Meet Cookie. Cookie is a 1.5-year-old wire-haired terrier mix, about 30 pounds, who is truly coming into her own as she settles into foster care. While she is still very sweet and affectionate, her growing confidence has revealed a fun, active side that makes her a joy to have around. Cookie is an energetic little girl who loves to play and is beginning to actively engage with all the dogs around her. She enjoys being part of the pack and loves spending time with her canine friends. As her excitement grows, she can be a bit jumpy at times, and she is currently working on learning an “off” command. She’s eager to learn and responds well to consistency and gentle guidance. She does great on leash walks and is doing well with her potty training, especially going number one while on leash, which is a big step forward. She will continue to improve with a consistent routine and regular opportunities outside, making her a good fit for apartment living or homes without a fenced yard. Cookie does wonderful with other dogs of all sizes and truly enjoys their company, though she could also thrive as an only dog in a home that provides regular activity, playtime, and engagement. After a good play session, she’s happy to relax and be near her people. Cookie tested positive for Lyme disease, which is a non-contagious, tick-borne illness. She is currently being treated with antibiotics. If Cookie finds her forever home before completing her medication, the remaining medication will be sent along with her. Many dogs who test positive for Lyme go on to live happy, normal lives with no long-term effects. With her blend of sweetness, playfulness, and growing confidence, Cookie would do best in a home ready to embrace an active, social girl who is excited to keep learning and enjoying life. Cookie is fostered in the Cincinnati, Ohio area. Her adoption fee is $275.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
LORELAI GILMORE is a stunning scruffy young dog looking for a home. She is a timid girl, our best guess is a Jack Russell Terrier-type mix, about 11 months old and fully grown at 24 pounds. She's a beautiful girl who literally wears her heart on her hip. Lorelai loves her doggie friends. She's good with older, dog-savvy kids and kitties. She prefers women over men. Lorelai needs a home with a dog-experienced adopter who will take the time needed to earn her trust. She must have a confident, playful dog sibling and is best suited to a home with a physically-fenced yard. She's housebroken, crate trained and walks well on a leash.   Lorelai and her sister Rory were found dumped in the woods earlier this year. Both girls were adopted a few months ago but Lorelai Gilmore was recently returned due to a change in family circumstances. Lorelai prefers women and is best suited to a quiet home where there won't be lots of strangers coming and going. If you'd like to meet Lorelai, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. All our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized.
