Little PIERCE is recovering well from his amputation surgery and is ready to start looking for a furever home. Pierce is a sweet, affectionate dog, about 7-8 months old and 13 pounds. He's a handsome mixed breed little guy, our best guess is a MinPin/Rat Terrier type mix. Pierce enjoys toys and chewies, attention from humans and playtime with other small dogs. He's navigating very well on 3 legs, he was no longer using the leg that was injured months ago and badly healed. Pierce is housebroken, crate trained and good with cats and other dogs. He would love to find a home with another similar-sized friendly dog. If you'd like to meet Pierce, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Pierce at our weekly adoption event, Saturday 11:30am-1:30pm at PetSmart Eastgate. Our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Jax is a Mountain Cur/ Australian Cattle Dog and Rat Terrier mix, which means he is driven and craves attention. He has an eagerness to please that we don’t see in many dogs, making him a fantastic dog for someone who enjoys the outdoors, such as hiking, walking, camping or just a leisure walk around the neighborhood. Jax would also excel at agility or a similar activity, he is a quick and agile guy. Jax can be a bit possessive of his person and his toys so he needs a person who while give him clear direction and corrections. He responds very well to verbal commands, he knows what is expected, but he likes to push those boundaries sometimes, he is still young after all. Jax is totally house and crate trained. He walks well on a leash and knows several commands such as sit, down, shake, drop it and stay. If Jax sounds like he would be a good fit for your life, he would love to meet you! Meet Fawn! Fawn is estimated to be eight years old and has a lot of spunk and love to give. She is dainty in size but strong in heart and body. Fawn plays really well with other dogs, as her current home has three of their own and does daycare, boarding and grooming from their home. She is around dogs all day and is such a good playmate. Her current foster home also has three children under four. She does really, really well with kids. Fawn is updated on all her vaccines and is spayed. (Not sure if she is microchipped, but add that if she is.) She is completely housebroken and crate trained. Her current foster family loves her very very much and wants to see her Go to a very loving and wonderful home! Daisy loves people and she’d be a  perfect fit for someone who is retired but still active, or someone who works from home, enjoys daily walks  and would like to have a companion to join them. If  she gets to be a lap dog, even better. Hello everyone, this lovely girl is Eve she was adopted from scpa in 2018 and she’s been a joy to have around. She loves walks, loves to play, is clingy, talkative, smart, and has never shown aggression to children (for context we had her around the time i was in middle school and my siblings were in elementary). However she has shown aggression for other dogs/cats. unfortunately as time passed we simply had schedules that conflicted with taking care of Eve. She needs a lot of care and i would love if we could find someone with a gated backyard, because she loves being outside for long periods of time, and who can have enough time to show her the love she deserves. If you’d think you’re able to give her a new home to cherish please contact me and we can discuss the transferring process. this is a very hard thing to do for us because we love her dearly so i really want to make sure we find a great new owner.
