Little tripod PIERCE has recovered well from his amputation surgery and is ready to find his furever home! Pierce is a sweet, affectionate boy, about 8-10 months old and fully grown at 15 pounds. He spends his days charming his foster sisters and foster mom, playing with his toys, playing bitey face with his foster siblings and just generally loving life. His 3 favorite times of day are play time, cuddle time and dinner time. Pierce is a handsome mixed breed little guy, our best guess is a MinPin/Rat Terrier type mix. He navigates very well on 3 legs, he wasn't using the leg that was injured months ago and badly healed. Pierce is basicallly perfect, he's housebroken, crate trained and good with cats and other dogs. He would love to find a home with another similar-sized medium energy dog who loves to play. If you'd like to meet Pierce, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Pierce at our weekly adoption event, Saturday 11:30am-1:30pm at PetSmart Eastgate. Our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Jax is a Mountain Cur/ Australian Cattle Dog and Rat Terrier mix, which means he is driven and craves attention. He has an eagerness to please that we don’t see in many dogs, making him a fantastic dog for someone who enjoys the outdoors, such as hiking, walking, camping or just a leisure walk around the neighborhood. Jax would also excel at agility or a similar activity, he is a quick and agile guy. Jax can be a bit possessive of his person and his toys so he needs a person who while give him clear direction and corrections. He responds very well to verbal commands, he knows what is expected, but he likes to push those boundaries sometimes, he is still young after all. Jax is totally house and crate trained. Fawn plays really well with other dogs, as her current home has three of their own and does daycare, boarding and grooming from their home. She is around dogs all day and is such a good playmate. Hello everyone, this lovely girl is Eve she was adopted from scpa in 2018 and she’s been a joy to have around. She loves walks, loves to play, is clingy, talkative, smart, and has never shown aggression to children (for context we had her around the time i was in middle school and my siblings were in elementary). However she has shown aggression for other dogs/cats. unfortunately as time passed we simply had schedules that conflicted with taking care of Eve. She needs a lot of care and i would love if we could find someone with a gated backyard, because she loves being outside for long periods of time, and who can have enough time to show her the love she deserves.
