Story
Sloan is still looking for her forever home!
Sloan bonds deeply with her person and is incredibly sweet, loving, and affectionate with the person she trusts. She would do best in a home with a single woman where she can be the one and only pet. She is currently living with other dogs in her foster home, but she can get snappy when she has to share her foster mom’s attention.
One of Sloan’s favorite parts of the day is snuggling up in bed with her foster mom, so her forever home will need to be one where she can continue that routine.
Sloan is potty trained and kennel trained. She would do best in a quiet home without children. She can be nervous around new people, but she is gaining confidence every day as she learns that she is safe and loved.
Sloan can also be vocal when she’s in new environments, so an apartment would not be a good fit for her.
Sloan is a 7 1/2 year old, 18 lb Patterdale Terrier/Dachshund/Corgi/Border Terrier/Beagle mix. If you think Sloan could be the right fit for you, please submit an adoption application at www.rescuerowinc.org.

Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs.
