Story
**COURTESY LISTING**   KATIE is a VERY special lady!  She was found chained to a doghouse after having a litter of puppies!!!  She is a little less than 18 months of age, 45 pounds, fully vetted and microchipped.  Her face is clearly marked as a toy fox terrier, but her size tells us she is mixed with a larger breed - perhaps foxhound or pointer.  (pics and video attached)   We are searching for someone who wants a VERY high energy dog and would like to do agility work or some other type of competition with their dog.  Katie will jump 4 feet in the air to catch the ball.  She will sit while you throw it, and drop it when she returns.  She is OBSESSED with the ball and the play involved.     For information on adopting Katie, please email can.adoptions@yahoo.com June 2, 2023, 3:05 pm

Story
He does love long walks, he is potty brained, will let you know if a stranger is at your door, but not very much a barker. Loves strawberries and cucumbers. Loves cats and any lazy dog that doesn’t do much. Likes when wind blows in his face. I am a dog groomer, so he is very good with getting baths and his nails clipped. He is a very good boy, just is getting old and unfortunately, only probably has about a year or two left.

Story
Sweet Denali has been with the rescue for 15 months and has yet to find his forever home! He is a 7 1/2 year old Chihuahua mix weighing only 11.7 lbs. When he joined the rescue he battled IBS, but thankfully after months of doctors visits and trying different medications he has been symptom free! He is no longer on any prescription medication, but does eat Sensitive Skin and Stomach food and take a daily probiotic. Denali is great with other dogs and everyone he meets. He will still occasionally potty in the house, but wearing a belly band in the home is a simple solution to protecting the carpet! This boy is so deserving of a forever home. Apply to adopt Denali at www.rescuerowinc.org Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 48 hours. You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a home check Our adoption fees are as follows (paid by cash or a check made out to Rescue Row): Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs. ##1236917##

Story
Mr Burns joined the rescue in May of 2022 after he was surrendered to the shelter when his family passed away. His teeth were in horrific shape and most of them had to be extracted during his dental. Even though he doesn’t have many remaining teeth, he still eats kibble just fine! Over the past couple of months, Mr Burn’s vision has become a bit cloudy with cataracts and his hearing is not quite as good as it once was. After his recent vet visit, Dr Murphy now believes he is about 10 years old. Mr Burns loves to be in your lap and loves to roll in the grass or on a soft bed. He also loves walks, car rides and belly rubs. He will sometimes army crawl, which always makes his foster mom laugh. This senior guy is so deserving of a forever home packed with cuddles and love. He would love someone that works from home or is home most of the time. He would do great as an only dog or with another small dog. He wears a belly band in the home so he does not potty in the house. He is a 12 lb Chihuahua mix.
