Story
Why you will love him... The Athlete: Ciabatta has plenty of energy and loves to run. Whether it’s a long walk, a jog, or just zooming around a big backyard, he is always up for an adventure. The Snuggle Bug: Once his energy is out, he’s a total softie. He is a world-class cuddler who loves to lean in for pets and snooze right next to his favorite humans on the couch. Great with Kids: Ciabatta is a sweetheart with children. He is patient, gentle, and thrives on the love and attention of a family. Ciabatta is a 10 year old Rat Terrier Mix looking for a new home due to no fault of his own. He had a run in with a wire fence that got wrapped around his nose  earlier in life and has left a small scar. He is sweet as they come. He just wants to sit in your LAP and cuddle. Apply online if interested in meeting Ciabatta: Adoption Application - Legacy Humane Society We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application. Story
Meet Lulu It breaks our hearts to make this decision, but we’re looking for the perfect forever home for our sweet girl, Lulu. Lulu is a happy, loving, and energetic dog who brings so much joy wherever she goes. She loves spending time outside, running around, playing, and soaking up the sunshine. She has a big personality and an even bigger heart! With both of us working full-time and raising young children, we’ve realized that we can’t give Lulu the time, attention, and exercise she truly deserves. She would thrive with someone who has an active lifestyle, a fenced yard, or simply more time to spend playing and loving on her. This decision comes from a place of wanting what’s best for her, and we’re committed to finding a family who will cherish her as much as we do. If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate companion who will keep you smiling, Lulu may be the perfect addition to your family. We would love to tell you more about her and make sure she’s the right fit.

Story
Niko is a true lap dog with a lively interest in being outdoors.  A  secure backyard and daily walks are on the list for this investigative, energetic little guy.  Niko also enjoys looking out the window and going to dog parks, is cooperative getting his harness on, can be left loose when you're out, is good on car rides, and is not a picky eater.Niko is generally low-maintenance. He seems okay around respectful children , and dogs of all sizes. He is playful, and has guard dog tendencies of barking at people/noises near your windows and doors.-what a great little watch dog! As energetic as Niko sometimes can be, he is a deep sleeper who loves to snooze on a dog bed with comfy blankets or get under the covers on a people bed.  Niko is chock full of personality, but the sort that is especially endearing.  He is a charmer with an independent streak.  But most of all he is a loving little guy who needs a loving home. ##2280678##

BREED-Rat Terrier Mix; SEX-Male; SIZE-Small; WEIGHT-13 lbs.; AGE-Approximately 4 Years; SPAY/NEUTER-Yes; HOUSETRAINED-Currently Uses Doggie Door; GOOD WITH KIDS-Yes; GOOD WITH DOGS-Yes; GOOD WITH CATS-Unknown; HISTORY-Rescued From A Local Shelter; ADOPTION FEE-$250   Gus is truly one of the sweetest dogs you’ll ever meet. He has a calm, easygoing nature, and his idea of a perfect day is simply being close to his person—curled up in your lap or resting quietly by your side. Gus greets everyone with joy and genuine happiness, and his gentle presence has a way of making you feel instantly loved. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and warmly welcomes new fosters into his home with a kind and patient spirit. Gus does have an autoimmune condition that causes some crusting around his eyes and the sides of his mouth. This means he will need a little extra daily care, including gently cleaning his eyes and mouth with a warm cloth, as well as taking daily medication. The medication is quite manageable, with an average monthly cost of about $20. With this simple routine, Gus remains comfortable and continues to thrive. If you’re looking for a truly special dog—one who will return your love with endless affection and quiet companionship—Gus may be the perfect match for you.March 7, 2026, 2:41 pm

Story
Now that his foster family has spent some time getting to know Phineas, here is what they have to say about him! “He is such a sweet and happy little boy! Full of energy and so affectionate. He hasn’t met a stranger and is usually the first to greet you at the door, trying desperately to jump up for some attention. When he’s in your arms, he is squirmy with excitement and showers you in kisses. He can be a little guarded when meeting new dogs (we assume he watched his brother get attacked, so we can’t blame him), but after a little bit of barking, he gets over it. Once he feels comfortable with the dog, it’s game over. He loves to play and snuggle with them, and he’d love a canine companion to continue that with in his forever home. He is also a big fan of cuddling with his people and has puppy-eyed his way into sleeping in bed at night. Phineas hasn’t had a single accident in the house and will even go to the back door to let us know he needs to go potty. He also caught on to kennel training very easily, but we certainly get an earful each time we return home. True to his breed, he has found his voice, so he wouldn’t be suited for apartment living. Phineas has been such an easy addition to foster and always makes us smile with his happy-go-lucky attitude. He is such a wonderful little puppy who will make his forever family very lucky!” Phineas is a 5 month old Chihuahua mix who weighs 8 lbs. If you’re interested in adding him to your family, please submit an adoption application at www.rescuerowinc.org. *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 48 hours. *You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a homecheck *Our adoption fees are as follows (paid by cash or a check made out to Rescue Row): Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee  Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee  Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs. ##2762289##
