Hi, I'm Clove! I am a smart, gorgeous (if I say so myself) Pekingese. I had been with my caretakers all my life but recently they found out they had to move and weren't\ going to be able to take me along. So here I am at Shelter Hope, waiting for my new family to find me. They'll see that I know a lot of things already. I am after all 14, I've been around the block a few times! And even tho I'm a senior, don't let that fool you. I'm still very young at heart. If you'd like to have a lovely gal as a companion, I'm ready and waiting. I'd love to spend our days together. Looking to Adopt? Step 1) Apply Online Submit a rescue questionnaire! Please be thorough in your answers. Step 2) Phone Interview If selected, our rescue counselor will contact you to schedule a phone interview. Please monitor your email and spam folder for our message. Step 3) Meet-and-Greet Appointment Shelter Hope is operating by appointment only. We are located at the Janss Marketplace in Thousand Oaks, CA. Please keep in mind: - Adoptions can move quickly, so be ready for our call. - Only apply for dogs everyone in your home wants. - Wait to apply until after your vacation. - Due to high demand, not all applicants will be contacted. She is a TOTAL lover who wants to be right in the middle of everything. 🥹❤️ One of our favorite things about Arya is how much she LOVES other dogs! Big or small, she wants to play with everyone and really looks to the other dogs around her for acceptance, confidence and leadership. 🐶💕 She absolutely loves playing with all of the dogs in her foster home and would be thrilled to have a furry friend to learn from! At only 8 weeks old, Arya is still just a baby, so her forever family should be ready to continue potty training, basic obedience, socialization and everything that comes with raising a puppy. Tiny, fluffy, silly, sweet and SO full of love — Arya is officially looking for her FOREVER HOME! 🏡✨

Meet Leyla, the sweetest little Pekingese/Poodle mix with a heart full of love! Leyla’s favorite place in the world is curled up in someone’s lap. If there’s an open lap, you can pretty much guarantee she’ll find her way into it! She’s affectionate, playful, and loves spending time with her humans just as much as she loves playing with her toys. Leyla is more of a quiet, easygoing girl and would be happiest in a calmer household where she can relax, cuddle, and feel comfortable. She can be a little shy when first meeting new dogs, but give her a little time and she opens up quickly. Her current best friend is actually a very energetic 10-week-old puppy, and they love playing together!
