[The Lycoming County SPCA does not “cat test” dogs per the Association of Shelter Veterinarian’s Guidelines for Standards of Care in Animal Shelters.]---Condensed Staff Assessment Notes: Bobby has made significant progress in the shelter after being rescued from an extreme animal hoarding situation. Initially hesitant to trust people, he`s now slowly revealing his personality thanks to the efforts of volunteers and staff.While not outgoing, Bobby has achieved small victories. He often prefers to hide under furniture but will cautiously explore when he feels safe. Though he tolerates handling, he stays close and followed me around the room. Outdoors, Bobby has gained confidence on a leash, though he remains hesitant to venture too far.
