Story
Foxy's owner had to go into a memory care faciltyand had to give up her baby.  She weighs about 10 lbs and is about 7 or 8 years old.  She is such a love bug and adores children and people.  Big dogs scare her as she was attacked by a large dog.  She would probably be ok with small dogs after time and slow introductions.   She is truly a lap dog.We think she is  long haired Chi mix or a Pom mix.  Applications to adopt Foxy are at codysfrienfriendsrescue.org ##2754348##

Story
We’ve had Queenie for 4 years now and I originally adopted her as a rescue from a breeding facility. She is 10 years old. We’ve taken good care of her and have always had all her vaccines up to date including her monthly flea and tick heart worm vitamin. Unfortunately, she hasn’t gotten along with our two year old. She doesn’t like little kids very much and would do well in a home without children. Her adoption is free but we will wait till we find the right people to adopt her. She is very funny and silly. For most of the day she likes to be left alone and sleep. She snores a bit loudly but shouldn’t be a problem sleeping in the living room at night. She is semi potty trained. She will use the training pad but will miss every now and then. We have just given her diapers and she is okay with that. Overall, she is a good dog that loves her walks and to sun bathe while she is outside in the backyard.

Story
Meet Spartacus!Spartacus is a 13 year-old senior Pekingese mix little guy. He may be 13 years old, but his sparkling eyes are still full of life, love, and personality. This sweet senior boy is house trained, crate trained, walks well on a leash, and is dog friendly. He would do best in a calm home with older kids or no kids, where he can enjoy a steady routine, lots of love, and frequent trips outside for potty breaks.Spartacus is a wonderful companion who loves being near his human. Whether you’re heading to the kitchen, the bathroom, or just moving from room to room, he’ll happily follow along to keep you company. With Spartacus around, you’ll never be lonely again. He’s also a little “talker” who loves to chat with his people and make sure he’s part of the conversation. Spartacus knows sit, spin, and shake, and he’s always happy to show off his tricks. Between cozy naps and gentle walks, he still has a playful side too—especially when there’s a ball to chase.Spartacus is a great little dog looking for a peaceful home to live out his golden years. However, an apartment would not be an appropriate home for this little guy. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion with plenty of heart and sparkle, Spartacus is ready to meet you.To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt. It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. We don`t get to all of the inquires but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

Story
Meet Chopper – A Little Dog Looking for a Lifetime of Love Chopper is a 2½-year-old white " Pekapoo " (Pekingese/Poodle mix) with a heart full of love and a story that has had more twists than any dog should experience in such a short life. The only family Chopper had ever known made the difficult decision to give him away, posting him on Facebook because they said they no longer had time for him. He was handed off to a stranger in a parking lot, leaving behind the only home he had ever known. After the heartbreak of losing his family, Chopper slowly adjusted to life with his new family and found happiness again. He especially bonded with the family's 6-year-old child, who became his very best friend. Then life threw Chopper another curveball. His mom lost her job and received an eviction notice. Facing the loss of her home, she made the heartbreaking decision to find Chopper a safe place to land. This time, she reached out to rescue for help, wanting the best for him. Once again, Chopper lost everything familiar to him for the second time in his young life. Today, Chopper is thriving in a loving foster home. Despite the setbacks he has faced, he remains friendly, playful, smart, and incredibly resilient. He loves carrying around stuffed toys, playing with other dogs, and then curling up on the couch for a Grey's Anatomy marathon. He walks nicely on a leash, is house-trained and crate-trained, enjoys car rides (especially when they include a pup cup), and is truly an all-around wonderful companion. Chopper is looking for more than just another home—he's looking for his forever family. He deserves a family that will cherish him as a lifelong member and never let him wonder where he belongs again. If your family is missing a friendly little white furball with a big personality and an even bigger heart, Chopper may be the perfect match. Chopper is: Neutered Up to date on vaccinations Heartworm negative Microchipped House-trained Crate-trained Dog-friendly If you'd like to meet this little charmer, please complete an application at Legacy Humane Society, and his foster mom will be in touch. Chopper's next home should be his last—and his best. ❤️  We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application.
