Meet Sodapop Curtis!
Just like his namesake, Sodapop Curtis has a heart that's impossible not to love.
This handsome 6-year-old Pekingese weighs about 17 pounds and has the most beautiful reddish-brown coat that's every bit as soft as it looks. While he's undeniably adorable on the outside, it's his gentle spirit that makes him truly unforgettable.
Sodapop came to rescue from a breeder hoarding situation where he, along with many other dogs, endured a life of neglect. When he first arrived, it was clear he had never known the love, care, or comfort that every dog deserves. Despite everything he's been through, he hasn't let his past define him.
Since coming into rescue, Sodapop has received the care he always deserved, including a cherry eye removal procedure, and he's feeling so much better. Now he's ready to leave his past behind and focus on the future.
While he's still a little shy at first, once he feels safe, Sodapop's sweet personality shines. He's incredibly gentle, loves to play, and never says no to a tasty treat! Watching him discover the joy of toys, affection, and the simple pleasures of being a dog has been nothing short of heartwarming.
Because of his history, Sodapop will need a home with another friendly, confident dog. Having a canine companion helps him feel safe, provides comfort, and gives him the confidence to continue blossoming into the happy little dog he's meant to be.
Sodapop is looking for a patient, understanding family who will let him settle in at his own pace and celebrate every milestone along the way. In return, you'll gain a loyal, loving companion with the kindest heart and the sweetest soul.

Adoption fee: $400
ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com.
Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee.
Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs.
