Story
Meet Gordon  This adorable little fluffy guy was originally rescued by a couple who saw a neighbor chaining him to their front porch. Sadly, their commitment to Gordon was short-lived. When the couple separated, he was left behind, and when the remaining owner faced eviction and couldn't keep him, a family member turned to social media looking for immediate placement. Thankfully, Worthy Dog was contacted, and a wonderful foster family stepped up to take him in. Gordon has spent the past few weeks learning what it's like to be part of a real family, living with his foster mom and dad, three kids ranging from 12 to 18, and a pack of large and small dogs. He integrated easily and has become particularly attached to the family's Mastiff. Gordon apparently fancies himself a big dog, so clearly he has found his people. Gordon is confident, affectionate, and snuggly. He loves being part of the family and seeks out attention from his people. He's especially fond of the youngest son, Evan, and frequently seeks him out for pets, although he occasionally gives him a little grumbly reminder that he's still in charge. His foster family views this as communication rather than aggression, and he responds well to direction. Gordon has a great balance of energy. He can walk for miles and gets very excited when he sees his leash, but he's equally happy lounging on the porch or curling up with his people. He walks well on leash, has no leash reactivity, and enjoys seeing other dogs while out and about. At home, he's housetrained and crate-trained. He had a couple of accidents when he first arrived, but quickly learned the household routine. He sleeps in his crate, stays there when his family is away, and will even choose it as his own retreat when snuggling isn't an option. He also waits to be invited onto the couch rather than simply launching himself into the middle of things. Good boy, Gordon! Gordon is friendly when meeting new people, although he can be protective of his home and may bark at deliveries or unfamiliar people around the house. Clear, consistent direction works well with him, and he listens well. Other dogs are a plus for Gordon. He integrated easily with his foster siblings and loves being part of a pack. He also has a playful side, so his foster family believes he'd do best with canine companions in his forever home. Gordon would do best in a home with kids out of the toddler stage. He doesn't like having his face handled, and when a neighbor's toddler approached him, he gave a clear warning that he was uncomfortable. He has never nipped at a person or child, but his foster family has appropriately kept him separated from younger children. Like many little dogs, Gordon has some strong opinions about his toys. He has shown resource guarding around tennis balls and has nipped at the family dogs when competing for a ball. He has no food resource-guarding issues, but his adopter will need to provide appropriate structure around toys and play. Gordon is a big personality in a cute little fluffy package. He’s funny, affectionate, confident, playful, and full of charm. He’s a loyal companion, a serious snuggler, and a little guy who will keep you entertained.  ** Coming to DC metro on 8/29 - Apply today! Curious CompanionMEET LITTLE BIRD! (Descriptor: Curious Companion)   This cutie pahtootie is a young adult (estimated at 7) and weighs only 12 pounds. Little Bird is in a foster home where she is now fully comfortable and her true personality has come out. Spoiler alert… she’s amazing! She is not only thriving there, she learned how to read and write – so she is going to pen the rest of her own bio. Take it from here, Little Bird!   “I'm a curious little girl who's always interested in what's happening around me. Whether we're going for a walk, exploring the neighborhood, or just relaxing at home, I'm happiest being part of whatever you're doing. I'm also a great work-from-home buddy and am happy to quietly keep you company while you work or relax.     I love my toys, and if I think it's time to play, I'll proudly bring one over to you. Every morning starts with a good back roll before I head to my favorite sunny spot to soak up the sun for the morning. One of my favorite things is simply watching the world go by. I love people-watching on walks, and I'll even stop to peek inside stores just to see what's going on.     When I first arrived at my foster home, everything felt scary and unfamiliar. With patience, kindness, and a little time, I discovered that I was finally safe. Since then, I've become much more confident, affectionate, and playful, and I've even learned to relax when my foster family needs to leave me home alone.     I enjoy the company of other respectful dogs and especially love playing with bigger dogs. I can be a little shy at first, but I learn quickly and settle in faster than my foster family expected. We think a home with respectful humans over the age of 12 is best for me. I'm potty trained, have learned the household routine really well, and once I feel safe, my playful and curious personality really shines. If you're looking for a loyal little companion who will happily follow you around, keep you company, make you smile with my funny little routines, and remind you to slow down and enjoy a sunny afternoon, I might just be your girl.”   Little Bird’s adoption donation fee is $450, which includes spay/neuter, routine vetting and a microchip. You can apply for her by filling out our online application, which is found on our website www.tarashouse.org.  Please email us at info@tarashouse.net with any questions.August 19, 2026, 3:59 pm

📌 Important Adoption Information All of our dogs are currently living in private shelters or foster homes in South Korea. Once an adoption is approved, dogs will travel to the United States through legal and approved international transport procedures. Video calls are available prior to adoption, and adopters can communicate with our rescue team in real time through our official organization and app-based messaging channels throughout the process. ●Rescue Story Jjajang was rescued from the euthanasia list at Jeongeup City Shelter. Thanks to timely intervention, he was given a second chance at life and moved into a foster home, where he has been able to decompress and show his true, gentle personality. ●Temperament & Behavior Jjajang is a calm and sensitive dog who prefers a peaceful environment. He does not enjoy overly energetic or pushy dogs, regardless of their size. He may be able to coexist with another dog who has low energy or shows little interest in him, but he may be happiest as the only dog in the home. When he feels bothered, he communicates clearly by giving a soft growl as a “please stop” signal. His compatibility with cats has not yet been tested. With people, Jjajang is initially cautious. Sudden approaches or reaching out to touch him can be scary for him. However, if someone sits calmly nearby, he will often approach on his own and quietly ask for affection with gentle eye contact. ●Walking & Daily Life At first, Jjajang appeared timid on walks, but with consistent leash training, he now walks nicely beside his handler and matches their pace well. If startled, he may briefly crouch, but sitting down and softly calling his name helps him recover quickly. He loves sniffing during walks and is not food-driven outdoors. He navigates stairs well and is not significantly bothered by traffic noise. His shedding level is moderate, around 5 out of 10. He has no food allergies and is not a picky eater. ●Habits & Training Jjajang uses indoor pee pads reliably (100%) and also goes potty outdoors about 50% of the time. He accepts baths and brushing calmly without resistance. He does not have separation anxiety and is comfortable spending time alone. He is not a barker and remains quiet in the home. He rides well in the car and does not appear to experience motion sickness. ●Likes & Personality Jjajang is not particularly interested in toys and prefers quiet time resting on his own rather than high-energy play. He is easily startled by sudden approaches but becomes very affectionate once trust is built. He is currently living in a foster home. 💙 Adoption Fee Information The adoption fee already includes all major expenses, such as: International transportation, Customs and export documentation, Medical care (spay surgery, vaccinations, health certificate, deworming, etc.) For this reason, we kindly ask that you refrain from requesting a breakdown or negotiation of the adoption fee. Your support directly helps us continue rescuing and caring for dogs in need, and we sincerely appreciate your understanding.

Story
🐾 Meet Lil Beet the Adventurer! Beethoven (lil Beet) is a sweet, adventurous soul who is ready to find his true forever home. After coming to us as an owner surrender from an animal shelter in Southern Virginia, Beethoven has been coming out of his shell. He went from being wary of people to being affection-seeking, curious, and sweet. He does incredibly well off leash in my yard + on leash walking in bustling shopping centers and is potty trained to go outside. He enjoys pets and boops/licks your hand for more. Initially, he didn't like being carried, but now he doesn't mind (still doesn't like being picked up by strangers). He is an independent dog who prefers to walk instead of being picked up though. He is a low-maintenance dog who sleeps for most of the day—he's just happy to be around his person and/or another small dog friend. He enjoys sleeping under my desk while I work at the computer during the day. Beethoven’s Likes: • Car rides (He LOVES car rides) • Walks + sniffs • Treats • Fluffy blankets • Small dog friends • Being around his person • Classical, Jazz, and Justin Bieber music Beethoven’s Dislikes: • Being carried Ideal Home: Because Beethoven initially found the world a bit scary, he is looking for a patient, loving home who will take him on car rides and outdoor adventures. He does best with people who respect his personal space and give him the freedom to choose what he wants to do—he seems to warm up quite quickly with people who do so. He is an absolute sweetheart. I believe he would do best in a household with another small dog, someone who works at home, or someone who can take him to work because he enjoys being around other small dogs and/or his person! Lil Beet is an incredible dog looking for his forever person to give him the best golden years. He has completed recent bloodwork, vaccines, microchip, and ear infection treatment. His dental is scheduled for July 23. He will be fully vetted before he goes to his forever family! Lil Beet has a possible collapsed trachea and cataracts (both common with older dogs). They don't seem to affect his day-to-day. Out of state adoptions are OK, but adopter has to meet him in northern Virginia. Lil Beet's adoption application is located at the bottom of the page: https://threelittlebears.org/availabledogs-beethoven/ Check out @tlbrescue on Instagram for more content of little Beethoven!

Story
Ollie is a handsome Tibetan Spaniel/Peki x that is about a year old and weighs 16 lbs. This boy was found a couple weeks ago in a field by the Texas/Mexico border, with no people or houses for miles. After looking for his owners and nobody came forward, he is now ready to find his forever home. Ollie loves attention from humans. He seeks you out and feels safe being next to you. His favorite place to be is in the fosters lap. He is curious about cats, and he tries to sniff them, but otherwise he gets along great with the fosters inside cats and could live happily with them long term. Ollie is fine with smaller dogs, but he gets very scared around dogs bigger than him. We do not know his history, but he doesn’t seem to be fully house trained. The foster is working with him on this, but he will need consistent training on this in his future home. Ollie is doing great in a crate at night. He whimpers at first as he would much rather sleep in the fosters bed than anything, and we hope whoever adopts him gives him the chance to be the bestest cuddle buddy ever. He would be fine with older children! Ollie isn’t sure what toys are, which is so sad. We are slowly introducing things to him as we don’t want to overwhelm him. We have not worked with him on leash training so this will need to be worked on. We truly believe with a patient home, he will come out of his shell fully and just flourish. An ideal home for Ollie would be with someone that works from home, or who is home more often than not. We believe wherever he lived before, they just threw him in the backyard and forgot about him, judging by how little he knows on how to be a house doggy. What we do know is that Ollie is such a love bug. He loves cuddles. Loves laps. Wants to please and get lots of pets in return. He just wants a home where he will be truly cared for and doted on. Ollie will be neutered, heart worm negative, current on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, microchipped, current on de-wormer, and will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport. PLEASE READ BELOW: To apply to adopt you can go to our website at: www.pawsitive-Impact-animal-rescue.org This animal is currently located in Texas, but we do NOT adopt animals out in Texas due to the hundreds of animals being euthanized here daily.
